The card base is PTI's Lemon Tart and the striped paper (I think) is My Mind's Eye. This stamp is from Lockhart; I colored it with Copics and put a little glitter on the tops of the pears. The ovals are cut with nestabilities, the gold hearts are Anita stickers and I printed the sentiment on my computer.

Blue Bird
This new PTI set follows their Spring set and is called Take Three: Summer (I hope a Fall and Winter set are in the works!) I used Hawaiian Shores cardstock for the base and topped it with a piece of Stamper's Select white; I scored around the edges, which is a bit hard to see in the photo. I stamped the bird with Hawaiian Shores ink and matted it on the cardstock using square nestabilities. For embellishments: silver dots, ribbon and threaded buttons.

Thinking of You - Lily
Another May release from PTI is Year of Flowers: Lily of the Valley. The flowers are stamped onto Kraft paper; the stem and leaves are colored with Copics. For the flowers, I dipped a Q-tip into Fresh Snow ink and lightly rubbed it onto the flower image which gives it a very soft appearance (I saw the Q-tip technique on Nichole's blog and had to try it!) The corners are made with the Martha Stewart photo corner punch and I added a Jolee's vellum butterfly.

Up, Up & Away!
This is another new stamp set from PTI called Up, Up & Away, and I couldn't wait to use this set! (OK, I can't wait to use all their sets! lol) The card base is Enchanted Evening, topped with a layer of striped blue and white pattern paper. I stamped, cut out the balloons (using PTI dies purchased to go with this set) and colored them with Copics. I added some clouds (also made with a separate die set) and mounted the balloons using some very thin 3D foamies. "Birthday wishes" is from the balloon set and I added two self-adhesive silver dots.

80th Birthday
This is for my friend's father-in-law. The card base is Enchanted Evening, topped with a piece of Scarlet Jewel. Next I scored a piece of blue patterned paper using my Scor-pal; it's scored to form little diamond shapes. The circle die cuts were made with nestabilities, the circle stamp is PTI, and I cut the 80 with Sizzlets. The (self-adhesive) stars are from Joann's.

Purple Dahlias
Here are the dahlias again - I just love this set! The card base is purple Bazzill layered with patterned purple. I colored the dahlias and leaves with Copics and put silver micro beads in the center. The borders are made with a Martha Stewart punch. The happy birthday sentiment is from the Birthday Basics set. Happy Birthday Maureen!

Graduation/Birthday Celebration
Today we're celebrating a friend's 50th birthday and his graduation! I made this tri-fold card using lots of masculine colors; the squares are cut out with nestabilities and the "Happy Birthday" is a Sizzlet. I used my Cricut to cut out the 50, which is sprinkled with gold glitter and added gold dew drops.
The invitation says "no gifts" but you know what that means....lol. So I made a basket of my "famous" Cowboy cookies which I know he'll love. I used my Cricut to cut out the 50, the "Graduate" is a Jolee's sticker, and each cookie bag has a 50 and graduation cap on it. I also made him the gatefold graduation card I posted May 5th. Happy Birthday & Graduation Lars!!!!!!

Cookies Anyone?
This is a tray of cookies I made to go with the 5 year old's birthday card below. Wouldn't you like to have some of these with a nice cup of coffee or tea? From left to right: Melt-in-Your-Mouth Sugar, Chocolate Ribbon, Butter (sandwiched with chocolate) and Coconut Melting Moments.

Birthday Slide Card
It's been a long time since I made a slide card. This is a Dark Chocolate card base, topped with a layer of Spring Rain Bitty Dots. The cupcake is a dimensional sticker from the Michael's dollar bins and I added silver dots to match the silver in the ribbon. The inside sentiments are stamped on Spring Rain solid cardstock and matted on white.

Vine Sympathy
This is made using PTI's With Sympathy stamp set. The card base is Spring Rain layered with a piece of Ripe Avocado (two colors I wouldn't think to use together but work really well!). I stamped blue flowers on top of the vine, added a butterfly, ribbon and sentiments. I added crystals because they remind me of the "stars" mentioned in the sentiment.

Fifth Birthday
This is for a five year old's birthday....every little girl likes pink and bling, right? The card base is pink, topped with a layer of white and then patterned paper with pink and green stripes. The cake is a Jolee's sticker (I added the "5"), borders Martha Stewart eyelet punch, and sentiment cut with a Sizzix bookplate die. And then I added lots of bling on the borders and card!

Take Three Birthday
One of my favorite sets from PTI is Take Three: Spring. The card base is New Leaf green layered with a piece of Kraft that's outlined with a brown marker. I stamped the 3 leaves with green ink and cut them out with a square nestability and then colored the inside of the leaves using another lighter green ink and a little bit of brown ink. I matted the images on scalloped Dark Chocolate paper and stamped Happy Birthday. This will make a nice masculine birthday card.

Anniversary Wishes
Today is my friends' 33rd anniversary!! I used Lavender Moon cardstock for the base and Itty Bitty Dots paper on top. The corners are made with an EK Success die and backed with gold paper. The hearts are made with scalloped/regular nestabilities and paper pierced or embossed. There's a bit of the corner cutout under the sentiment and finished with ribbon. Happy Anniversary Susan & Ed!

Happy Birthday Flowers
I have a lot of Jolee's stickers and thought I'd make a card to use some of them. The card base is lavender, topped with a piece of kraft paper (edged in white) and a piece of polka dot purple. I used the Martha Stewart eyelet punch for the borders. To finish the card: Jolee stickers, happy birthday sentiment stamped on a nestabilities Labels 1 die, a few crystals and polka dot ribbon.

Interior Decorating
I saw this style card a long time ago on the PTI gallery (thanks Becky Oehlers!) and when I needed to make a card for an interior decorator, I knew this was the one! This card uses the On My Couch set from PTI. It was so much fun to stamp and cut out all the furniture and accessories, and then add the chair rail, rug, hanging picture with the birthday sentiment and the "art" on the wall. The "art" on the wall is made with a spirelli punch and wrapped with gold thread.

Happy Birthday, Mom!!
My mom loves flowers so I knew I had to use this new Lockhart stamp called "Spring Flowers" for her card. The card base is white, then layered with 2 different colors of coordinating green paper from a Hot Off the Press stack. The stamp image is colored with Copics and I glittered the tips of the tulips, crocuses and bottom of the flower pot (which you can't see!). The image and layer is cut with Labels Four nestabilities and I added a few dew drops and ribbon for embellishments.

Happy Mother's Day!!
I'm posting my mother's day card today because I'll be posting her birthday card tomorrow! The base card is white, layered with a light purple and then a patterned purple paper. I used 2 diecuts of the Fleur de lis nestabilities, cutting a square out of the top one which allowed me to insert "Happy Mother's Day", and then put it on top with 3d foamies. I added some ribbon, pearls and a couple of flowers and voila!

Riley Graduation
You know how I love Riley, so I couldn't wait to make Graduation Riley! This is for someone who'll be getting her masters in medicine, and the green sash denotes medicine at her university. I colored Riley with Copics and cut him out using Labels 2 and Square nestabilities. I added some ribbon, metallic black dots and the silver "Congratulations" is an Anita sticker. At the last minute I decided to add "Class of 2010" - I'm glad I did because I really like having the year on the card.

Happy Birthday Bird & Butterflies
This is the third card we made at my craft group a few weeks ago, and as soon as I made it, I knew I wanted it for my friend's birthday. This is another easel card and I believe most of the paper and the die cuts are from Stampin' Up. The papers are all edged in ink, there are liquid pearls in the middle of the butterflies and the ovals were cut with nestabilities. Happy Birthday Arlene!

Graduation Time
It's that time of year again and I'll need a few graduation cards. This is a gatefold card - I started with black cardstock, layered it with plain gray and a patterned congratulations, and then lined the inside with a festive black and silver paper. The circles are cut out with nestabilities and I topped it off with a Jolee's graduation cap. Here's the card closed and partially opened:

Coffee & Friends
I've had this Inkadinkadoo stamp for a while now so it was time to use it. The patterned background paper reminds me of a coffee color; I added a brown, zigzag side border topped off with gold dots. I was originally going to color the entire stamp with Copics, but felt it might be too much, so just did the coffee cup for a touch of color. I used a bit of Stickles for the steam.

Blue Dahlia
I'm still playing with these Dahlia stamps, so I think I'm definitely going to have to get this set (lol)!! I colored the stamps with Copics and used PTI's Enchanted Evening and Spring Rain cardstock. The silver dots are from Joanns, the silver mesh is an Anita sticker and the "Happy Birthday" is a Studio G $1 stamp.

Buttons Anyone?
This is another stamp set from PTI called Studio Style (I stamped images from my friend's set). For anyone who crafts (or hoards!), you can certainly relate to the "we're supposed to use them?" lol I stamped the 3 jars of buttons and colored them with Copics, then cut them out and stacked them. I just bought this green button paper so it was perfect to use for this! I distressed the edges of the paper - I've been wanting to try that for some time now, and it really does add a nice effect. And yes, I even used 3 buttons! The inside sentiment says "I thought we were just collecting them!".
