Falling Apart

Another Dolly Mama card!

I used Aqua Mist cardstock for the card base and added a layer of polka dot pattern paper, rounding the bottom corners.  I stamped the image on white cardstock and colored it with Copics, again rounding the bottom corners.

I adhered the image to the pattern paper and added the tear shaped Dew Drops on the side for a little dimension.  This sounds like a simple card to make but the coloring takes a bit of time to do!

Card Details:
  • Stamps:  Dolly Mama Falling Apart
  • Paper:  PTI Aqua Mist, White Stampers Select; Amuse Polka Dots
  • Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Ink
  • Tools:  Corner Rounder
  • Other:  Copics; Dew Drops
  • Card Size:  4.25" x 5.5

Burn The Candle

Dolly Mama stamps are so much fun to color and make nice birthday cards.

I used Summer Sunrise cardstock for the card base and added a layer of Amuse Venetian pattern paper.  I'm finding that my Amuse collection of pattern papers are very good matches for my PTI cardstock!

I stamped the image on white cardstock and colored it with Copics.  I added a few prisma flowers with gem centers to complete the card.

Card Details:
  • Stamps:  Dolly Mama "Burn The Candle"
  • Paper:  PTI Summer Sunrise, White Stampers Select; Amuse Venetian
  • Other:  Copics; Prisma Flowers; Gems

Go Braless

I think it's been a couple years since I pulled out my Dolly Mama stamps....I don't know why because they certainly are a lot of fun to color!  I started with a black card base and then added a layer of small red/white gingham paper.  I stamped the image on white cardstock and colored it with Copics.

I decided to added Charcoal twine - punched a couple holes in the right hand side of the paper and threaded the twine through them tying it in a bow.....I wanted to do something different than just putting it on the spine or around the bottom of the card.  I added silver stickles to her hat for a little sparkle.

Card Details:
  • Stamps:  Dolly Mama Go Braless
  • Paper:  PTI True Black, White Stampers Select; Amuse Gingham
  • Tools:  Crop-a-Dile
  • Other:  Twine; Stickles; Copics
  • Card Size:  4.25" x 5.5"

Burn The Candle

Here's another Dolly Mama stamp called "Burn The Candle" (colored with Copics).  I'll use this as a birthday card; I'm sure we can all relate to this as we get older!  I used Papertrey Orange Zest and Summer Sunrise cardstocks and Orange Zest buttons and ribbon.  I set the stamp off to the side just for a little change and then added an orange flower to balance out the card.

ETA -- This card didn't look "right" to me so I added another flower and button.  I think it looks more balanced now.

Go Braless!

We are finally starting to get back to normal after the blizzard, although some of the roads are still a bit snow and ice covered.  Another few days of sun will certainly help.

I just love Dolly Mama rubber stamps and they are so much fun to send for birthdays!  (hehe)

A New Week Begins

One of my craft resolutions this year is to use some of the things I already have before buying anything new!  (we'll see how long this lasts...lol)  I dug out this Dolly Mama stamp and some Papertrey paper I haven't used before for this birthday card.  How I can relate to the wording on this stamp!!  The stamp is colored with Copics.
