Congrats

I made this card for no particular reason other than to have it on hand in case it's needed.  The House Mouse "In A Nutshell" stamp is colored with Copics; I stamped the blue sky in the background with a dauber.  The image is mounted on a piece of Spring Rain cardstock and layered on a multi-colored SU pattern paper.  I added a strip of Vintage Cream and stamped "congrats" anchored by blue rhinestones.

Card Details:
  • Stamps:  House Mouse In A Nutshell, PTI Congrats All Ways
  • Paper:  PTI Spring Rain, Vintage Cream; Stampin' Up
  • Tools:  Standard Rectangle Nestabilities
  • Other:  Copics, Adhesive Rhinestones, Martha Stewart Glitter
  • Card Size:  4.25" x 5.5"

House Mouse Birthday

This is a simple card design I saw on Nichole's blog.  I used Kraft for the card base and edged around it with white ink.  I stamped and colored the mouse with Copics and die cut it with nestabilities, using scraps for the layers.  I stamped the sentiment and added the two layers of ribbon.

Card Details:
  • Stamps:  House Mouse Monica's Gift
  • Paper:  PTI Kraft, Hawaiian Shores, Dotty Biscotti
  • Tools:  Labels Four Nestabilities, Corner Rounder
  • Other:  Copics, Celebrate It Ribbon, Colorbox Frost White Ink
  • Card Size:  4.25" x 5.5"

In A Nutshell

I've had this stamp for quite a while and thought I should use it - this will be a retirement card because it just looks like what a retired person should be doing!  This House Mouse stamp is called "In A Nutshell" and features Maxwell.  I used Kraft for the card base and topped it with a pink and orange polka dot paper.  Maxwell is colored with Copics; I used a sponge to tap blue ink to make the sky background.  I mounted Maxwell on a deep pink paper and edged it with a Kraft scalloped border.  I added another orange scalloped strip behind the image and finished the card with a pink ribbon and glitter on the sand.

  Card Details:
  • Stamps:  House Mouse "In A Nutshell", PTI Take Three: Summer
  • Paper:  PTI Kraft, Stampin' Up
  • Tools:  PTI Banner Borders
  • Other:  Ribbon, Martha Stewart Glitter
  • Card Size:  4.25" x 5.5"

Christmas Tag

The ladies in my craft group exchange Christmas tags with each other and this is what I made for them.  The tag was cut using Lacey Circles nestabilities - I cut two pieces of wine colored, glittery Coredinations paper and sandwiched it with a piece of chipboard so it was sturdy.  I stamped the House Mouse and colored him with Copics.  I used Puff Paint on his hat to give it some dimension, added some glitter around his feet, stamped the sentiment and added the ribbon for hanging.  Isn't he cute?

Autumn Blessings

It's finally Fall, and my favorite time of year!  This is a House Mouse stamp called Apple Harvest.  I used Kraft for the card base, a layer of green and colored the stamp image with Copics.  The background was a little too white for me so I dipped a Q-tip in orange and yellow inks and randomly tapped it on the card to make a "fall like" sky.  I put glitter on the apples, a couple photo corners and added the tag with ribbon.

Monica's Gift

I wanted this House Mouse stamp, Monica's Gift, for the longest time, so when I finally found it at Joann's I couldn't wait to use it!  This card is made with one of my favorite colors from PTI, Hawaiian Shores, which I used for the card base. Next are layers of white, Spring Moss, and some pretty flower patterned paper that matches the blue and green perfectly!  I cut the circles with nestabilities and looped the ribbon through them for a different effect.  Monica is colored with Copics; the sentiment is from PTI's Birthday Bash Sentiments, and of course, another favorite embellishment - photo corners!  Happy Birthday Jill!

Christmas in July

I don't normally do anything for Christmas in July, but it does make me think of colder weather, and that's something I'd like right now!  This is another House Mouse stamp called "Tumble Wreath".  I used some pretty holly patterned paper, colored the image with Copics, added a little glitter on the wreath, cut it out with deckled rectangle nestabilities and added the ribbon.  Only 5 months until Christmas!!

Hot Enough For You?

It's been in the 90s here for what seems like weeks now....so I thought this card would be appropriate to send to anyone who doesn't enjoy the heat!  I certainly don't and am counting down the days until Fall (just 89 days to go!!).  This stamp is called "Air Head" and is from House Mouse's Happy Hoppers category.  This is a beige card base layered with blue, brown and beige polka dot paper.  The stamp image is colored with Copics and cut with nesties Labels 2, I added silver Stickles for the fan breeze, made the sentiment on the computer and added a touch of ribbon.

House Mouse Anniversary

I couldn't resist getting this House Mouse stamp!  This is Amanda and Maxwell, and the stamp is called "Tails of True Love".  They really do look like they are in love, so I thought this would be perfect for an anniversary card.  The stamp is colored with Copics and cut out using oval nestabilities.  The paper is PTI -  Spring Moss and Aqua Mist.  I added a few dew drops and ribbon and the card is ready to go.

Happy Easter!

Easter Surprise

Today is a nice Spring-like day which put me in the mood to make something with pastel colors.  Since Easter is not too far away, it's time to get started on some cards for the holiday.  This is "Easter Surprise" from House Mouse and there's Monica (colored with Copics) again looking all content in her cracked egg.

It's Your Birthday!!!

I noticed the last 3 cards I made were with blue cardstock, so I thought it was time for something completely different.  How about black, silver and a touch of pink for a change?

This stamp is House Mouse's "Jumping for Joy" and she certainly is excited it's your birthday!  Monica is colored with Copics and cut out with Labels Nine nestabilities.  The pink polka dot ribbon and the pink background for the sentiment help bring out her pink ears and cheeks.

What's Cooking?

Here's House Mouse again!  I've had this stamp for a while and decided it was time to use it (I bought this stamp because it reminds me of me since I love to cook and bake!).  Sometimes it's easy to pick out the papers I want to use, and after I colored the stamp with Copics, I quickly found this matching blue and purple paper from DCWV.

Christmas Cards

This is the card that was sent out to family and friends.  I love House Mouse stamps!!!  The HM image was colored with Copics, and it's a little hard to see, but there's a piece of mylar over the picture to make it look like you are looking through a window.

This was one of my favorite cards I made for Christmas. I got the inspiration from a Christmas card I received - and decided to make my own version of it. The branches were made with the Martha Stewart "branch" punch, which was one of my most used punches during the holidays!

This is another card I used with the same Martha "branch" punch. As you can see, this punch can be used in a number of ways! The poinsettias are colored with Copics.

And finally, a card I made for my parents' mail carrier.
