I pre-ordered new nestabilities (Lacey Circles, Labels Fourteen, Labels Fifteen, Lacey Squares, Beaded Ovals) from Scrap-Mart back in July. I think they were originally supposed to ship late September/early October, so imagine my delight when I received them last week! I'm already starting to play with them along with my August PTI stamps. It's like Christmas every time the USPS or UPS guy rings the doorbell. lol

Gladiolus
I'm finally starting to play with my August PTI stamps! This is their new Year of Flowers: Gladiolus set....I just love using these monthly sets - the details on them are just amazing!! I used Kraft as the card base and then added a layer of Pure Poppy. The flowers are colored with Copics and have a bit of glitter on the edges; I added metallic dots and the sentiment is from PTI's Birthday Bash set.

Ice Cream Anyone?
I saw this adorable card on a blog called ElainesCreations and knew I had to make it for my friend's daughter's 10th birthday. The card base is white and I topped it with a piece of green for the background; I thought leaving it white would be too much white. I added the awning and shelf, using a Martha Stewart border punch for the design. The ice cream cones are a Studio G $1 stamp colored with Copics, sprinkled with glitter and cut with a nestability. I added the birthday sentiment (PTI Birthday Bash) and a little ribbon. Happy Birthday MacKenzie!

Pink, Pink, Pink!
This card is for my friend's granddaughter who loves pink, pink, pink and more pink! The card base is pink and topped with a pink and green circle pattern paper. The stamp is Penny Black's Break For Cake, colored with Copics; I cut the image with square nestabilities and paper pierced the scalloped one. The happy birthday is a sizzlet and the 5 was made with the Cricut. I added some bling to the 5, glitter on the happy birthday and pink (what else!) ribbon.

It's A Boy!
This cute little card is for a woman I used to work with - she just had her second baby, a boy. The card base is white, followed by a layer of blue and blue polka dot patterned paper. The overalls and wagon are Jolee stickers and the sentiment is Inkadinkadoo. I added a little piece of light blue ribbon on the wagon and photo corners.

Monica's Gift
I wanted this House Mouse stamp, Monica's Gift, for the longest time, so when I finally found it at Joann's I couldn't wait to use it! This card is made with one of my favorite colors from PTI, Hawaiian Shores, which I used for the card base. Next are layers of white, Spring Moss, and some pretty flower patterned paper that matches the blue and green perfectly! I cut the circles with nestabilities and looped the ribbon through them for a different effect. Monica is colored with Copics; the sentiment is from PTI's Birthday Bash Sentiments, and of course, another favorite embellishment - photo corners! Happy Birthday Jill!

Ticket To Love
I was playing with PTI's Just the Ticket stamp set again and decided to make an anniversary card after finding this cute "xoxo" paper in the stack my friend sent me. I started with a white card base, added the patterned papers, ticket stamps, heart cut out with nestabilities, border using a Martha Stewart punch and a strip of ribbon.

I thought it was about time I used my PTI Anniversary set! The card base is white, topped by black, Raspberry Fizz (I just love pink and black together!) and then some bubbly patterned paper. The shape is PTI's Mat Stack #2 - the circle images from the anniversary set fit perfectly with this die! I added a few crystals, sentiment (from PTI's Birthday Bash Sentiments) and pink ribbon.

Cupcake?
This is a Kraftin' Kimmie stamp - I think she's adorable and I'd like to have that stack of cupcakes to eat right now! The card base is pink, and I topped it with cupcake patterned paper I bought at Michael's.... I remember getting it because they only had one piece! The image is colored with Copics and I added some Stickles for the cupcake icing and a ribbon. And there are my favorite photo corners again!

Another 50th Birthday!
Seems like a lot of people are turning 50 this year! This is what I'll call my "20 hour" card (lol). I started out making this all purple, had it all ready to put together and thought it was too much purple so decided to add red. When putting on the accents, first I started with balloons, didn't like the way they looked and switched to the cupcakes. Whew!
The card base is purple, topped with a striped purple pattern. I cut out the squares using regular and scalloped nestabilities. I used the Cricut to cut the 50 and the cupcakes - I really should use that machine more often! The "happy birthday" is a sizzix die. I sprinkled some Martha Stewart tinsel glitter on the cupcakes and added a few jewels to the first panel to jazz it up.

Masculine Get Well
Doesn't this card just scream "male"? I saw this technique using distress inks for the background on Gina K Designs website and had to give it a try. It was so much fun and easy to do! You just rub the ink pad along the paper! That's it....and it gives you this different look. I used kraft as the card base and layered it with some dark green. Next I stamped the tree image (PTI's Through the Trees) in black right over the ink, sprinkled embossing powder and embossed it using a heat gun. I stamped the sentiment and the card is done! A no frills manly card!

Happy, Happy Birthday
These were also made with some of the paper my friend sent me; I really liked the colors in this paper and used two coordinating colors for each card. I used a white card base and added a piece of yellow cardstock and then the patterned paper. The sentiment is from PTI's Birthday Bash Sentiments, the dies are made with Labels 10 nestabilities and I added the butterfly, photo corners and crystals.
