This is a card someone asked me to make for her parent's anniversary. The card base is a very light greenish beige color, topped by a light sage and then a flowered green pattern. She wanted the initial "L" and "happy anniversary" on the card. I added the heart border strip (made with a Martha Stewart punch), pearls and ivory ribbon.

Cafe Riley
It's been a while since I made a Riley card.....this is Cafe Riley - isn't he cute? This is a white card base topped with pink striped paper. I stamped Riley and colored him with Copics, then added a strip of a scalloped border punch, flowers with heart brads, silver pearls on the awning and silver stickles for the coffee cup steam. The "let's chat" sentiment is from PTI's "On My Couch" stamp set.

Three Birds Birthday
I love this set, Take Three: Summer from PTI; there is so much you can do with it! For this card, I started with white for the card base and then layered it with a piece of Raspberry Fizz patterned paper and black, that I punched the edge with a Martha Stewart loop punch. I stamped the 3 birds and cut them out with a scalloped square nestie. I added a metallic dot and some ribbon and the card is done!

Get Well Plant
This is a Karen Lockhart stamp called "Phalaenopsis". I started with a white card base, a layer of light green and topped it with patterned paper of green and pink circles (which matches the green and pink perfectly!). The stamp is colored with Copics and cut out with deckled rectangle nesties. I decided to make this a "get well" card; stamped the sentiment and cut it, added a flower brad and some ribbon. There's also a sprinling of white glitter on the plant flowers (which doesn't show up in the picture).

Hot Enough For You?
It's been in the 90s here for what seems like weeks now....so I thought this card would be appropriate to send to anyone who doesn't enjoy the heat! I certainly don't and am counting down the days until Fall (just 89 days to go!!). This stamp is called "Air Head" and is from House Mouse's Happy Hoppers category. This is a beige card base layered with blue, brown and beige polka dot paper. The stamp image is colored with Copics and cut with nesties Labels 2, I added silver Stickles for the fan breeze, made the sentiment on the computer and added a touch of ribbon.

Tea Cups
I'm still playing with the Tea For Two Additions stamp set. For this card, I used Chartreuse paper as the card base and topped it with a piece of Melon Berry Green Tea Leaves pattern paper. Love these colors together! I cut chartreuse tea cups (with the new tea cup die), stamped them with Vintage Cream ink and put them on top of plain and scalloped squares (cups and squares are on 3d foamies). I stamped the sentiment on a Melon Berry strip and added a couple buttons.

Tea For Two
This is another new set from PTI, Tea for Two Additions and what a fun set! I started with Kraft for the card base, layered it with a piece of Raspberry Fizz plain and Raspberry Fizz Dotty Biscotti pattern. I took a small strip of Kraft and stamped it with a "Tea" stamp and put it in the middle of the card. PTI now has a teapot die which cuts out the teapot - no more trying to cut out the handle! I cut the die, stamped it and placed it on a die cut from a Labels 4 nestie. I stamped "birthday wishes" and added buttons threaded with string.

Thinking of You - Flowers
This is my favorite time of the month - when I start playing with my new PTI purchases! This adorable flower stamp is from All About You Additions. Two of my new favorite colors combos are Hawaiian Shores and Summer Sunrise and they're on top of a Kraft cardbase. The flowers are colored with Copics and I used a sparkly gel pen to accent the stream behind the bumblebee and the flowers.

Postal Birthday
Today is my parents' mail carrier's birthday and they like to give her a card that's "mail" related. I found this really nice postage stamp paper at Michael's and made a sleeve card with it. The sentiment is a Studio G stamp and it's on a sizzix die cut called "postage stamp"! I wrapped some twine around the bottom because it reminded me of when you send a package and tie it with string.

Happy Father's Day!
My dad is simple, he doesn't like fancy. He looks at the cards I make him, but is more interested in what it says inside. So I made him a "simple" card. I started with Ripe Avocado as the card base and topped it with a piece of Kraft and cut out a window using a Labels 1 nestie. Next, I drew a border around the card using a white gel pen. I stamped the tree from PTI's Through The Trees stamp set and added the sentiment and a little twine. And stopped (which is hard for me because I really do like to add embellishments! lol). But it's his day so he gets a simple card. Happy Father's Day Dad!

Another First Birthday
I fell in love with this Penny Black stamp - it's just so cute and perfect for a first birthday! The card base is white, topped with layers of solid pink and pink polka dot paper. The stamp is colored with Copics, cut out with a mega nestability and layered on top of pink paper. I printed the sentiment on the computer and cut it out with circle nestabilities, paper piercing the scallops. The card is finished with pink striped ribbon, pink buttons and pink Stickles (on the largest present).

Another Shirt Card
Here's another really cute way to make a shirt card. This just takes one piece of 8-1/2 x 11 paper, folded, no glue/tape necessary! I made the shirt, added a tie and pocket and then put the sentiment inside so it's actually a card. This will fit into an A2 envelope (invitation size) and could be used for any type of occasion!

Folded Shirt Card
These shirt cards are very popular and just so cute! I used Ocean Tides for the base of this sleeve card, added a layer of Dark Chocolate and then cut two thin strips of Ocean Tides Bitty Boxes for the top and bottom. I folded the shirt using paper from Stampin' Up and added the button brads. I used a Sizzix bookmark plate for the sentiment and added a little twine.

Sometimes Simple is Enough - Part 2
Here are a couple more cards I made using this wonderful design. The papers used are Kraft and Plum Pudding; the stamps are from the Masculine Motifs set - all PaperTrey products. This type of card could be used for any occasion!

Sometimes Simple is Enough
I saw this style card in the July 2010 issue of CardMaker magazine and just fell in love with it! It's so simple, yet makes a statement. I started with a white card base, and then used 3 different sizes of Labels 4 nestabilities for the layers (used Hawaiian Shores and Raspberry Fizz cardstock). The flower is from the In Bloom stamp set and colored with Copics; the sentiments are from the Take Three: Summer stamp set. You'll see more of this style from me!

The Sky is the Limit
I saw this card using the Up, Up & Away stamp set on Nichole's blog and had to try it. I used Hibiscus Burst for the card base and then stamped it with flowers using Fresh Snow ink. I stamped the kite onto white paper and then edged it with some blue ink. The clouds were cut with dies using Aqua Mist scraps; stamped the sentiment and added a couple of metallic dots.

Masculine Sleeve Card
A friend wanted me to make her a "sleeve" card with Hawaiian Shores cardstock, but not to make it too "girly". I started with HS for the base and then used a layer of Kraft, stamped with a tree image from Masculine Motifs. I topped it with a piece of patterned paper from Green Boutique and cut out an oval to highlight the trees, added the sentiment and twine. For the inside I used HS cardstock and added a border of the Green Boutique at the top and bottom - it looks nice that the inside matches the outside! I think it's a "manly" looking card!

Flower Basket Easel
Today is my friend's birthday and I wanted to send her an easel card because it's a little different than a "normal" card. The base was made with lavender Bazzill cardstock topped with a layer of purple polka dot paper. The basket is made with PTI's Vintage Picnic set and colored with Copics and I added a Martha Stewart eyelet border to prop up the easel. A sentiment, ribbon and metallic dots finish the card. Happy Birthday Cathy!

First Birthday
I found this cute shoes paper at Joanns and thought it was perfect for a first birthday! The card base is pink, topped with a layer of purple, light green and the patterned paper. The "1" is cut with the Cricut (yes, it's been getting a lot of use lately!) and the eyelet border with a Martha Stewart border punch. I printed the sentiment out on the computer, added some swarovski crystals for bling, and a pink striped ribbon.

Fourth Birthday
This is a card for a little girl who loves pink and bling! lol The card base is pink, topped with a layer of dark pink and then a pink polka dotted paper. I cut a couple of scalloped circle nestabilities and had it hang off the edge of the card and trimmed it. The four is made with the Cricut, the cupcakes are from Michael's $1 bins. I made the "happy birthday Brinley" on the computer and adhered it to a metal rim tag. Ribbon and lots of "bling" finish the card.

Hot Air Balloons Birthday
This is another card I made with the Up, Up & Away set. I copied the "hills" idea from Niki Estes - I saw this effect on a card she made and just loved it; I distressed the edges on mine. I used some leftover scraps to make the balloons and cut the clouds using felt. The card seemed a little too empty so I stamped additional clouds with white ink and edged around the blue card base.

Life's Uncertain
Fluffles the Cat again, and if "life's uncertain...eat dessert first" isn't a law, it should be, because you just never know what's going to happen. Here's another one of my favorite color combos, brown and pink. I used PTI chocolate cardstock for the base, a layer of white and Heidi Grace paisley pattern. The stamp image is colored with Copics and cut with rectangle deckled nestabilities. The cake layers have glitter and I added some pink polka dot ribbon.

Happy 2nd Birthday
This is (obviously) for a two year old boy's birthday. The card base is green, topped with a layer of navy blue, and then a cute pattern paper from Joann's. I cut the "2" with my Cricut - I'm starting to use it again! I added a green border made with an EK Success border punch, some ribbon and dew drops; the sentiment was printed on the computer.

Flowers with Woodgrain
I'm still playing around with the Take Three: Summer PTI set. The card base for this is Plum Pudding topped with a layer of white, and then a piece of Kraft that I ran through the Cuttlebug using PTI's new woodgrain die! I love the embossing effect from this die! I stamped two flowers and matted them on purple, (one flower is raised with a 3D foamie) and added a sentiment, little gold balls, heart and ribbon for accents.

Birthday Flap Card
I've been wanting to make a flap card for sometime but didn't have the magnetic closures (the magnet holds the card closed). Then last week my friend Kelli gave me a pack she bought for me at AC Moore! So I had to make this long awaited card! I used pink for the card base, a layer of chocolate, and a layer of pink/chocolate patterned paper. The squares are made with nestabilities deckled squares, I paper pierced the flap, added a chocolate/pink cake (from Michael's $1 bins) and some ribbon. For the inside, since the back of the pink paper was white, I used a layer of pink before applying the sentiment.
