You're Doggone Great...

Can you believe it's the last day of the month? And here's the last Valentine card for this year!

For this card, I started with a white cardstock card base and covered it with heart pattern paper. The scalloped heart banner is die-cut in Aqua Mist cardstock (it matches the blue hearts in the pattern paper!) and the white banner is die-cut in white cardstock.

I stamped the little doggie in black ink and colored him with Copic markers. The sentiment is stamped in Smokey Shadow ink and the banner is on foam tape for dimension.

Card Details:
  • Stamps:  PTI Tiny Treats: Valentine
  • Paper:  PTI White Stampers Select, Aqua Mist; K & Company
  • Ink: PTI Smokey Shadow
  • Copics:  E30, E31, R83, W1
  • Dies:  PTI Notched Hearts Banner
  • Other:  Foam Tape
  • Size:  4.25" x 5.5"

Glitter Hearts...

Just one more Valentine card to post after this one! I found these foam glitter hearts while purging some of my craft supplies and thought they would make quick CAS cards.

I took a piece of white cardstock, made a score line 1/2" in from each side and placed the panel on a pink (for the girls) or blue (for the boys) pre-made card base. I stamped the sentiment in Smokey Shadow ink and added the glitter hearts. Simple and quick!

Card Details:
  • Stamps:  PTI Keep It Simple:  Valentine
  • Paper:  PTI White Stampers Select; Recollections
  • Ink:  PTI Smokey Shadow
  • Tools:  Scor-Pal
  • Other: Foam Glitter Hearts
  • Size:  4.25" x 5.5"

Riley Valentine...

Remember Riley the moose? I have a ton of these moose stamps and rarely use them anymore. When trying to come up with Valentine ideas, I remembered I had Couch Riley and thought I'd ink him up again.

I die-cut the journal card in white cardstock, stamped Riley in black ink and colored him with Copic markers. The sentiment is also stamped in black ink.

I used pre-made red cardstock card bases and added a layer of black and white striped pattern paper. I backed the Riley panel with fun foam and placed it on the card, which added just enough dimension.

Card Details:
  • Stamps:  PTI Keep It Simple: Valentine; Riley & Company Couch Riley
  • Paper:  PTI White Stampers Select; DCWV
  • Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black
  • Copics:  100, BG10, E30, E33, R24, R29, R83, W1

Papertrey February 2017 Blog Hop Challenge...

I can't believe it's time for the monthly Blog Hop - February flew by!! For this month's challenge, Nichole posted an inspiration photo that I really couldn't get much inspiration from. It has a lot of dark colors and not a lot of ideas popped into my head. I focused on the dark background, pink color and the diamonds in the photo - giving me the idea to use a diamond shape for my background.

I used Smokey Shadow cardstock for the card base and added the hexagons die-cut in Raspberry Fizz cardstock. The flower wrap is die-cut in Kraft paper and stamped with Raspberry Fizz ink and the flower portion die-cut in white cardstock and stamped with Spring Moss and Raspberry Fizz inks. I added black centers with a marker and white, coarse glitter on them.

The banner is die-cut in white cardstock and stamped with Smokey Shadow ink. I placed the flowers and the banner on foam tape for dimension. To finish things, I tied crochet thread around the spine and added a few sequins.

Not one of my favorite cards but this is what you get when inspiration doesn't coming knocking at your door. 😒

Card Details:

  • Stamps:  PTI Fresh Floral Wrap Ups
  • Paper:  PTI Smokey Shadow, White Stampers Select, Raspberry Fizz
  • Ink:  PTI Raspberry Fizz, Smokey Shadow, Spring Moss
  • Dies:  PTI Fresh Floral Wrap Ups, Fabulous Frames, Cover Plate: Hexagons
  • Other:  Foam Tape; Sequins; Crochet Thread; Glitter; Black Marker
  • Size:  4.25" x 5.5"

Happy Valentine's Day...

Another quick Valentine for today. I found a sheet of 12 x 12 heart paper I bought a few years ago and thought it was time to use it up.

I trimmed the heart paper to 3.75" x 5.5" and placed it on a coordinating color card base. The stitching was already through the hearts so I didn't have to do anything else with this paper!

I die-cut the banner in white cardstock, stamped the sentiment in black ink and placed the banner on fun foam for dimension. And that's it for this very simple card.

Card Details:
  • Stamps:  PTI Keep It Simple: Valentine
  • Paper:  Stampin' Up; K1 Heart Appliqué
  • Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black
  • Dies:  PTI Sketched Shapes
  • Other:  Fun Foam
  • Size:  4.25" x 5.5"

Happy Valentine's Day...

With all the PTI's tenth anniversary challenges, I didn't get a chance to post my Valentine cards so they're a bit behind schedule this year!

This is a quick card made using Cover Plate: Hearts. I placed a piece of pink pattern paper over a white cardstock card base. The cover plate is die-cut in white cardstock and layered over the pattern paper.

I stamped the sentiment in black ink and added ribbon around the spine. Simple!

Card Details:
  • Stamps:  PTI Keep It Simple:  Valentine
  • Paper:  PTI White Stampers Select; DCWV
  • Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black
  • Dies:  PTI Cover Plate: Hearts
  • Other:  Ribbon

PTI: Celebrating 2016...

Well, 10 years went by quickly, didn't they? Today is the last day and our stamp choices are:  Just Desserts, Painted Petals, Paper Clippings Love Story, Tulip Time and To Have And To Hold. Well, I hit the jackpot because I have 4 of these sets! Tough decision to make here - Painted Petals is an all time favorite and I love Tulip Time....but I haven't inked up To Have And To Hold so I'm picking that set to use today.

The 2016 Challenge: "Do you already own any of the five sets that were highlighted today? Time to dust them off and make an all new project using it!"

I started by scoring lines 1/2" apart on a piece of white cardstock. I die-cut the wreath in white cardstock and stamped it with Spring Moss ink. I die-cut flowers and stamped them in Lovely Lady and Hibiscus Burst inks, adding Smokey Shadow dots in the middle. The leaves are die-cut in white cardstock and stamped with Ripe Avocado ink. I added a few more small flowers in Aqua Mist ink.

The sentiment is stamped in Smokey Shadow ink. The middle of the heart looked too empty so I die-cut "love" in Hibiscus Burst cardstock. The wreath is on fun foam for dimension. I placed the entire panel on a Hibiscus Burst cardstock card base.

Card Details:
  • Stamps:  PTI To Have And To Hold, Inside & Out: Love
  • Paper:  PTI White Stampers Select, Hibiscus Burst
  • Ink:  PTI Lovely Lady, Hibiscus Burst, Aqua Mist, Ripe Avocado, Spring Moss
  • Dies:  PTI To Have And To Hold
  • Tools:  Scor Pal
  • Other:  Fun Foam
  • Size:  4.25" x 5.5"

PTI: Celebrating 2015...

Well, only one more year to go! For this year the five stamp set choices are: 2015 Birthday Tags, Baker's Dozen, Blushed Blooms, Twig Wreath and You've Been Framed Hexagon. I have 2 of these sets and picked Twig Wreath for my card.

The 2015 Challenge: "Do you already own any of the five sets that were highlighted today? Time to dust them off and make an all new project using it!"

I decided to use Kraft instead of white to stamp on - Heather Nichols makes everything with Kraft look wonderful! I stamped the wreath in Dark Chocolate ink 3 times, slightly moving it each time so the wreath would look nice and thick. The leaves and sprigs are stamped in Dark Chocolate, Ripe Avocado and Berry Sorbet inks.

For a splash of white, I heat embossed a few of the flowers. I just wanted to see that pop of white on the card! The remaining flowers are die-cut in Ocean Tides and Aqua Mist cardstock, with one of the flowers popped up on foam tape for dimension.

The sentiment is stamped in Dark Chocolate ink. I placed the panel on a piece of Twig Wreath pattern paper and onto a white cardstock card base. I love this Twig Wreath pattern paper and now wish I bought more of it! 😳

Card Details:
  • Stamps:  PTI Twig Wreath, Choose Joy
  • Paper:  PTI Kraft, Twig Wreath Pattern, Aqua Mist, Ocean Tides
  • Ink:  PTI Dark Chocolate, Ripe Avocado, Berry Sorbet; Versamark
  • Dies:  PTI Twig Wreath
  • Tools:  Heat Tool
  • Other:  White Embossing Powder; Foam Tape
  • Size:  4.25" x 5.5"

PTI: Celebrating 2014...

The years are going by fast now!😄 For 2014 our stamp selection is: Embellished Elegance, Feather Finery, Leave It Be, Life Is Beautiful and Text Block Birthday. Hey, I have 3 of these sets and picked Leave It Be.

The 2014 Challenge: "Do you already own any of the five sets that were highlighted today? Time to dust them off and make an all new project using it!"

I wanted to make a quick card and selected one of the leaves from the set and two ink colors - Spring Moss and Ripe Avocado. I stamped the leaves in a random pattern on Rustic White cardstock and added the berries in Pure Poppy ink. The panel is adhered to a Kraft cardstock card base.

The banner is cut from the same Rustic cardstock and the sentiment stamped in Ripe Avocado ink. I placed the banner on fun foam for dimension and added jute, since this will be a masculine birthday card.

Card Details:
  • Stamps:  PTI Leave It Be, Harvest Berries, Keep It Simple: Birthday III
  • Paper:  PTI Kraft, Rustic White
  • Ink:  PTI Spring Moss, Ripe Avocado, Pure Poppy
  • Dies:  Sketched Shapes
  • Other:  Jute; Fun Foam
  • Size:  4.25" x 5.5"

PTI: Celebrating 2013...

The selection for this year is:  Cupid's Arrow, Hands Of Time, Pedal Pusher, Ruby Rose and The Best Is Yet To Be. I have two of these, Hands Of Time and Ruby Rose and picked Hands Of Time.

Th 2013 Challenge: "Do you already own any of the five sets that were highlighted today? Time to dust them off and make an all new project using it!"

I stamped 3 clocks in Versamark ink on Hawaiian Shores cardstock, sprinkled them with white embossing powder and heat set them. I stamped the numbers, the hands on the two smaller clocks and the sentiment in Smokey Shadow ink.

The hands on the large clock are die-cut in Smokey Shadow cardstock. I placed a silver embellishment in the middle of the hands. The panel is on a white cardstock card base with a strip of black and white striped pattern paper at the bottom.

I forgot how wonderful this set is and it was really nice to use it again!

Card Details:
  • Stamps:  PTI Hands Of Time, Sketched Shapes
  • Paper:  PTI Hawaiian Shores, Smokey Shadow, White Stampers Select; DCWV
  • Ink:  PTI Smokey Shadow; Versamark
  • Dies:  PTI Hands Of Time
  • Tools:  Heat Tool
  • Other:  Embossing Powder; Embellishment
  • Size:  4.25" x 5.5"

PTI: Celebrating 2012...

Can you believe we're up to 2012 already! This year's stamp selection is: Celebrations, Embroidered Blooms, Hello Sunshine, Sentimental Signs and With All My Heart. I have two of these sets and picked Embroidered Blooms because I just used With All My Heart for Valentine's Day.

The 2012 Challenge:  "Do you already own any of the five sets that were highlighted today? Time to dust them off and make an all new project using it!"

I started by stamping the leaves in Spring Moss and Ripe Avocado inks on white cardstock. Next, I stamped the sentiment in black ink - I wanted to see where the flower placement should be so it was easier stamping the sentiment first. The flowers are stamped in Blueberry Sky, Spring Moss and Enchanted Evening inks. There were a few spots that didn't line up exactly 100% and a few Copic markers helped make them look perfect.

The panel is trimmed down a bit so I could place it on a Blueberry Sky gingham pattern paper background. It's backed with fun foam so it pops off the paper a bit! It's fun using pattern paper again and I have a new love for this blue color combination!

Card Details:
  • Stamps:  PTI Embroidered Blooms
  • Paper:  PTI White Stampers Select, Blueberry Sky Gingham
  • Ink:  PTI Blueberry Sky, Spring Rain, Enchanted Evening, Spring Moss, Ripe Avocado; Memento Tuxedo Black
  • Copics:  B41, YG91
  • Other:  Fun Foam

PTI: Celebrating 2011...

Our stamp choice from 2011:  Background Basics Newsprint, Garden Variety, Tremendous Treats: Valentine, Winter Penguin and Year Of Flowers: Collection. I have two of these stamps and selected Winter Penguin.

The 2011 challenge: "Do you already own any of the five sets that were highlighted today? Time to dust them off and make an all new project using it!"

I wanted to try a technique that the multi, super talented Jennifer McGuire showed last week - Tulle Window Cards and I thought the penguin would be perfect! Check out her video - it's easy to do! The hardest part for me was lining up the windows in the two pieces. I'm sure practice will help!

Using a deckled rectangle, I die-cut the opening in a piece of Hawaiian Shores cardstock. I traced the opening onto the white cardstock base and lined up the die...hoping it would work! When I die-cut it, it was off a little bit but I was still able to work with it by trimming the sides. 😀 I placed white tulle between the two layers.

The penguin is die-cut in white cardstock and stamped with black ink. I used the Misti and stamped him twice so he was nice and black. I colored his feet and nose with a Copic marker and added a little pink chalk to his cheeks. His hat is stamped in Hawaiian Shores ink with an added pompom. The snowflakes are also die-cut in white cardstock and the sentiment stamped in black ink.

You know I have a "thing" about winter cards and fun fur, so I wrapped some around the top of the card. I am in love with this card! So stinkin' cute and when the card is open, it really looks like the penguin and snowflakes are "floating". Thank you Jennifer for such a great idea!

Here's another view - I placed a calculator behind the tulle so you can see how it's in the window.

Card Details:
  • Stamps:  PTI Winter Penguin, Two Feet Deep
  • Paper:  PTI Hawaiian Shores, White Stampers Select
  • Ink:  PTI Hawaiian Shores; Memento Tuxedo Black
  • Copics:  YR15
  • Dies:  PTI Winter Penguin; Small Deckled Rectangles Nestabilities
  • Other:  Tulle; Fun Fur; Pompom; Chalk
  • Size:  4.25" x 5.5"

PTI: Celebrating 2010...

It's 2010 and another choice of 5 stamps sets - Beautiful Blooms II, Love Lives Here, Take Three Summer, Wreath For All Seasons and Year of Flowers: Sweet Peas. I have 3 of these sets - I don't know if Nichole just happened to pick stamp sets I own or if I was buying more stamps that year. 😎

The 2010 Challenge: "Do you already own any of the five sets that were highlighted today? Time to dust them off and make an all new project using it!" I wasn't sure which stamp set to use, but after seeing Keeway Tsao's Sweet Peas watercolor card, I thought I'd try watercoloring too. Naturally, her's is so much better than mine!😞

On watercolor paper, I stamped the flowers and leaves in white embossing powder and heat set it. Next, I used Berry Sorbet and Pure Poppy reinkers for the flowers and Green Parakeet reinker for the leaves mixed with water. Once completed, the flowers looked a little silly just floating in the air so I made a wash of ink and water and brushed it around the flowers and leaves.

Once it dried, I stamped the sentiment and those curly thingies in black ink. I added a strip of Pure Poppy cardstock on the left side and placed the entire panel on a white cardstock card base.

Am I thrilled with this card --- more than I thought I would be! I'm not good at watercoloring and really need to revisit the Online Watercolor Class I took several years ago. But the good news is the more I look at this card, the more I like it!

Card Details:
  • Stamps:  PTI Year Of Flowers: Sweet Peas
  • Paper:  PTI Pure Poppy, White Stampers Select; Canson 140# Watercolor
  • Ink:  PTI Berry Sorbet, Pure Poppy, Green Parakeet; Versamark; Memento Tuxedo Black
  • Tools:  Heat Tool
  • Other:  Recollections Embossing Powder
  • Size:  4.25" x 5.5"

PTI: Celebrating 2009...

Today's choice of stamps from 2009: Damask Designs, Fruitful, Giga Guidelines, On My Couch and Simple Valentine. You guessed it - I only have one of these sets, On My Couch. And I've only used it a few times, so it's nice to ink it up again.

The challenge: "Do you already own any of the five sets that were highlighted today? Time to dust them off and make an all new project using it!"

Gotta get rid of some of my pattern paper 😁 so I started by placing a piece of Happy Spots (Lemon Tart) on a piece of white cardstock. I die-cut the large stitched oval from Noted: A2 Scalloped die collection in white cardstock.

The couch is the same pattern paper, stamped with Dark Chocolate ink and fussy cut. I placed it on the oval and stamped the table and picture in the same ink. The mugs are stamped with Aqua Mist ink and the flowers in the picture colored with Copic Markers.

I stamped the pillows on Aqua Mist Stripes, fussy cut them and added a gem to the center. The sentiment is stamped in Dark Chocolate ink (the inside sentiment says "your couch or mine."). I placed the oval on fun foam for dimension. It was really fun to use this set again and I think this card turned out cuter than I thought it would!

Card Details:
  • Stamps:  PTI On My Couch
  • Paper:  PTI Happy Spots, White Stampers Select, Aqua Mist Stripes
  • Ink:  PTI Dark Chocolate, Aqua Mist
  • Copics:  G12, BG23, E57
  • Dies:  PTI Noted: A2 Scalloped Collection
  • Other:  Fun Foam; Gem
  • Size:  4.25" x 5.5"

PTI: Celebrating 2008...

Nichole highlighted 5 stamps sets from 2008 - Bitty Baby Blessings, Floral Frenzy, Flower Garden, Garden Of Life and Out On A Limb. Again, I only have one of these stamps, Bitty Baby Blessings.

The 2008 Challenge: "Do you already own any of the five sets that were highlighted today? Time to dust them off and make an all new project using it!" I've used Bitty Baby Blessings many times, but I don't remember using the sailboat in the set.

I die-cut the Cover Plate: Center Stage in white cardstock and adhered it to a Spring Rain cardstock card base. Using Limitless Layers: Circles, I die-cut a shaped circle in Pure Poppy cardstock and a regular circle in white cardstock. The sailboat is stamped in black ink and colored with Copic markers.

The banner is die-cut in Pure Poppy cardstock and the sentiment stamped in black ink. Both the banner and the shaped circle are on fun foam for dimension. I tied white satin ribbon around the card and added a silver star to the sailboat to complete the card.

Card Details:
  • Stamps:  PTI Bitty Baby Blessings
  • Paper:  PTI White Stampers Select, Spring Rain, Pure Poppy
  • Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black
  • Copics:  B99, R27, W1
  • Dies:  PTI Limitless Layers: Circles, Cover Plate: Center Stage, Sketched Shapes

PTI: Celebrating 2007...

Nichole highlighted 5 stamps sets from 2007 - Beautiful Blooms, Green Thumb, Out To Sea, Spiral Bouquet and Text Boxed. I only own one of these sets (Spiral Bouquet) because in 2007 I was really just getting started with stamping and wasn't buying that many stamps. Haha, how times have changed!😎

The 2007 Challenge: "Do you already own any of the five sets that were highlighted today? Time to dust it off and make an all new project using it!" I'm always happy when I can pull out an older set and use it.

I started with white cardstock and stamped the leaves in Spring Moss and Ripe Avocado inks. The flowers are stamped in Sweet Blush and Berry Sorbet inks. The second layer of stamping really helps to highlight the flowers and stems! The little dots are also in Berry Sorbet ink.

The sentiment is stamped with Smokey Shadow ink and the panel is on a Sweet Blush cardstock card base with the right and bottom showing. To add a little shimmer, the flowers have Wink of Stella on them.

Card Details:
  • Stamps:  PTI Spiral Bouquet, Choose Joy, City Scene
  • Paper:  PTI Sweet Blush, White Stampers Select
  • Ink:  PTI Sweet Blush, Berry Sorbet, Spring Moss, Ripe Avocado, Smokey Shadow
  • Other:  Wink of Stella
  • Size:  4.25" x 5.5"

PTI: Favorites...

Celebrating the Past, Present and Future: Favorites

PTI is celebrating their 10th anniversary this year - I can't believe it's been 10 years that I've been buying their wonderful products! Time sure flies!! And lots of challenges and contests to look forward to over the next 10 days!

Nichole asked us to "go through your photos or your actual projects and select the one Papertrey project that you are most proud of." Seriously Nichole?😬 That would be like asking me to pick out my favorite candy - uh, nearly impossible. I looked through my projects, mostly in the past 2 years because my style has changed (thank goodness!) and I like more of my recent creations.

Anyway, I really couldn't narrow it down just one favorite, but this card sticks out in my mind for some reason. I posted it for the PTI June 2015 Blog Hop Challenge and thought I did a great job matching the card to the inspiration photo. You can read all about how I made it HERE.

Is this my absolute favorite? Probably not, but it's in the top 10.

Card Details:
  • Stamps:  PTI Friendly Flowers, Reasons To Smile
  • Paper:  PTI Vintage Cream, Smokey Shadow, Orange Zest
  • Ink:  PTI Smokey Shadow, Memento Tangelo
  • Dies:  PTI Friendly Flowers, Cover Plate: Center Stage; Wet Paint III
  • Other:  Seam Binding; Glitter; Foam Tape
  • Card Size: 4.25" x 5.5"

Stamped Dangles (MIM #275)...

Well, I never heard of the "dangle" technique but thought I would give it a try. Amy Sheffer shows us how to stamp and doodle in this week's Make It Monday #275: Stamped Dangles. I will admit I had a hard time figuring out what my dangles were going to be and then decided to just use all snowflakes.

On white cardstock I stamped Snow in Pure Poppy ink. I added assorted snowflakes in Hawaiian Shores, Amethyst Allure, Green Parakeet and Pure Poppy inks. I wasn't brave enough to create my own dangles and simply drew a straight line with a thin, black marker. I can't believe how many stamp sets I used on this card - 8!!😊

I cut the panel using the Noted: A2 Scalloped die and placed it on Plum Pudding Bitty dots pattern paper. Since I now have enough pattern paper to last me f.o.r.e.v.e.r. I need to start using it!👍

Card Details:
  • Stamps:  PTI Wonderful Words: Snow, Balloon Bash, Two Feet Deep, What The Doodle: Snowflakes, Harvest Berries, Holiday Treats, Snowflakes Sparkle, Phrase Play #9
  • Paper:  PTI White Stampers Select, Plum Pudding Bitty Dots

Sending Hugs & Kisses...

Even though it feels like I just got done making Christmas cards, I've already been working on Valentine's cards. Marcia Hill used the Christmas Critters stamp set for a Valentine card here and I thought it was so cute and tried it for myself.

I die-cut the mouse in white cardstock and stamped him in Soft Stone, Hawaiian Shores and Lovely Lady inks, adding the nose in black ink and the eye with a black marker. I die-cut the mouse 2 more times and stacked and glued them together.

On a white cardstock panel, I placed the mouse on the card and added the heart, die-cut in Lovely Lady cardstock and on foam tape for dimension. The XOXO border is die-cut in Hawaiian Shores cardstock.

"Hugs & Kisses" is stamped in black ink and "Sending" is stamped on a slight angle in Lovely Lady ink. The entire panel is adhered to a Lovely Lady cardstock card base with the pink showing on the left side. Fun card to make and I'm always happy when I can use a stamp set for more than one occasion!

Card Details:
  • Stamps:  PTI Christmas Critters, Wet Paint III, Wonderful Words: Holiday
  • Paper:  PTI White Stampers Select, Lovely Lady, Hawaiian Shores
  • Ink:  PTI Lovely Lady, Soft Stone, Hawaiian Shores; Versafine Onyx Black
  • Dies:  PTI Christmas Critters, XOXO Border
  • Other:  Foam Tape; Black Marker

Hello There...

I wanted to use the little bear in Polar Bear Pals to make my card and was thinking about what colors to make the scarves. Then I remembered the January PTI Color Recipe cards were just published and picked out this one for my color reference:

On white cardstock with black ink, I stamped the sentiment first and then stamped the bears around it.  The bears' scarves are colored with Copic markers. I seem to be using my Copic markers a bit more often recently, and it's fun to use them again.

The bear next to the sentiment is die-cut three times and stacked together to give the card just a touch of dimension. To help highlight the bears, I outlined them with a light grey marker (hard to see in the photo) and placed the panel on a Hawaiian Shores cardstock card base. I was hoping the card base would help accent the bear next to the sentiment.

Card Details:
  • Stamps:  MFT Polar Bear Pals
  • Paper:  PTI White Stampers Select, Hawaiian Shores
  • Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black
  • Copics:  BG13, R24, RV19, W1, Y35, YG23
  • Dies:  MFT Polar Bear Pals
  • Size:  4.25" x 5.5"

Be My Valentine...

It's been a while since I used the Fly Away set and I thought it would make a fun Valentine card for a little boy.

I used Kraft for the card base and added a layer of white cardstock. I die-cut the hearts border in Hawaiian Shores cardstock. The plane is die-cut in white cardstock and colored with Copic markers. I die-cut the banner in Kraft cardstock and stamped it with Pure Poppy and black inks, attaching it to the plane with red thread.

The clouds are die-cut in white cardstock, embossed with polka dots and lightly brushed with Hawaiian Shores ink. The clouds, plane and banner are all on foam tape for dimension.

Card Details:
  • Stamps:  PTI Fly Away, Tiny Treats: Valentine
  • Paper:  PTI White Stampers Select, Kraft, Hawaiian Shores
  • Ink:  PTI Pure Poppy, Hawaiian Shores; Memento Tuxedo Black
  • Copics:  BG15, C00, R29, T1, 100

Pattern Play With Die Silhouettes (MIM #274)...

Well, I certainly have plenty of pattern paper to play with for this week's challenge Make It Monday #274: Pattern Play With Die Cut Silhouettes, hosted by Lexi Daly. The object is to mixed pattern papers with your die-cuts.

I wanted to make a very simple card and started with a piece of white cardstock. I added paper from Egg Hunt and a strip of Plum Pudding Bitty Dots at the bottom. The bunny is from Polka Dot Parade #1, and is die-cut in the same Plum Pudding Bitty Dots pattern paper. I die-cut him 2 more times in white cardstock and stacked them together for stability. The bunny is on foam tape for additional dimension.

The sentiment is stamped in purple ink. I added white ribbon around the card and a nice, big fluffy pompom for the bunny's tail. Can't get any simpler than this!

Card Details:
  • Stamps:  PTI Keep It Simple: Easter
  • Paper:  PTI Egg Hunt, Plum Pudding Bitty Dots, White Stampers Select
  • Ink:  Memento Sweet Plum
  • Dies:  Polka Dot Parade #1
  • Other:  Ribbon; Foam Tape; Pompom
  • Size:  4.25"x 5.5"
