Easel Card 5 & 6

And finally, the last of the easel calendars I made!  (See my November 19th post for more details of how these are made).

Easel #5 has a Spring Moss cardstock base and the coaster is covered with a muted soft green pattern paper.  The top and bottom is cut in white cardstock using Card Edgers #5.  The calendar is layered on Spring Moss cardstock and placed on foam tape.  I added the butterflies at the bottom with pearl centers and tied Honeydew twine around the top, threaded with a button.

Easel Calendar #5

I thought maybe a man would use one of these calendars and made this style with more masculine colors and replaced the butterfly design with wood buttons.

Calendar #6 base is Blueberry Sky cardstock and the coaster is covered with polka dot pattern paper.  The top and bottom is also cut using Card Edgers #5.  I layered the calendar on Blueberry Sky, added jute at the top, threaded with a wood button and more buttons at the bottom.

Happy Hanukkah

The design of the menorah on this card is similar to the way Nichole made her's when this set was released last year.  I really liked the way it's made with 3 different colors behind it and copied her idea.  But the rest of my card is different than the one she made.

I used Enchanted Evening cardstock for the card base, embossing it with my Simple Stripes impression plate.  I die-cut the menorah in white cardstock and placed 3 different colors of cardstock behind it to give it this multi-colored, layered look.  I placed the menorah on Spring Rain cardstock and tied silver, stretchy cord around it.  The light blue cardstock is on foam tape for dimension.

I added the sentiment, stamped in blue ink on a die-cut banner.

Happy Thanksgiving!

I'm really looking forward to eating today!  Oh, and to see my  family too...... lol

I used Kraft cardstock for the card base and impressed it with my woodgrain impression plate.  I cut a piece of Orange Zest cardstock and placed it on top of the Kraft.

For the leaves, I used a "watercolor" effect.  I inked up the leaves, spritzed them with a little bit of water and then stamped them on the paper.  It sure gives it a different look!  I stamped the sentiment in a dark brown ink.

To complete the card I tied jute around it, threaded with a wood button.  Enjoy your Thanksgiving!

Card Details:
  • Stamps:  PTI Leaf Prints, Happy Day
  • Paper:  PTI Kraft, Orange Zest, Rustic White

Get Well (CAS #43)

Now that I have the envelope board, it's time to start making envelopes to match cards!  I was backwards with this one because I started by making the envelope first.  This was paper I didn't think I would use, but once I made the envelope, I thought I could make a matching card.

I used Kraft cardstock for the card base and edged around it in white ink.  I cut a piece of the pattern paper, making sure I included the flower as the focal point.  Using Framed Out #10, which is two pieces, I die-cut the outside in Kraft, again edging it in white ink and the center in white cardstock.  I backed it with coaster for support.

I stamped the sentiment in dark brown ink, placed it on foam tape at an angle and added a large gem to the flower center.  Doesn't the card  look nice with a coordinating envelope?

Card Details:
  • Stamps:  PTI Fillable Frames #10
  • Paper:  PTI Kraft, White Stampers Select; DCWV
  • Ink:  PTI Fresh Snow; Brilliance Pearlescent Chocolate
  • Tools:  PTI Framed Out #10 Die; Envelope Punch Board
  • Other:  PTI Coaster; Foam Tape; Gem
  • Card Size:  4.25" x 5.5"

Merry Christmas

Yikes, just one month until Christmas!  The next 4 weeks will go by so fast and then we'll be talking about Valentine's Day.  lol

Well, I'm certainly getting use of the envelope board....this is another folder card like the one I posted November 17.  I love the way this one turned out!

I used white cardstock for the card base and made it into a folder (see November 17 post for details).  The white is layered with a polka dot pattern paper and the inside with a coordinating red polka dot paper.

I die-cut the bird image, stamped it and colored it with Copics.  Glitter and a pom-pom were added to the hat and glitter on the branches.  I tied a wine/gold ribbon around the card and placed the bird image on top of it.  There's a gold bell tied around the bow with a bit of gold cording.

I die-cut "merry" in Ripe Avocado cardstock, adding glitter to the letter tops, placed it on an angle on foam tape and stamped "Christmas" underneath it.  My friend liked this card so much when I showed it to her that she asked me to make her one too!

 Card Details:
  • Stamps:  PTI Tremendous Treats: Christmas, Wonderful Words: Holiday
  • Paper:  PTI White Stampers Select, Scarlet Jewel, Ripe Avocado; Stampin' Up

Happy Happy Birthday

This is a new stamp set and die from PTI called Confetti Garland.  I'll get a lot of use out of it because the set contains stamps to make banners in stars, snowflakes, hearts and circles!

I needed to make a card for a male friend and selected Blueberry Sky cardstock for the card base.  I also have a new pack of DCWV paper I just bought called "The Little Mister", dedicated to little boys but also has a lot of "male type" paper in it.  I picked out this blue and green chevron paper to layer on the card.

I die-cut the garland and stamped the stars in dark blue, light blue and green inks and placed them across the card on foam tape for a bit of dimension.  After I took this picture, I did add a glitter to the bottoms of the stars to make it a little more festive.

The sentiment was stamped on Spring Rain cardstock on a die-cut made with Fabulous Frames. Sorry the picture is a bit dark but I took this on a rainy day.

Card Details:
  • Stamps:  PTI Confetti Garland, Birthday Bash Sentiments
  • Paper:  PTI Blueberry Sky, Spring Rain, White Stampers Select; DCWV The Little Mister
  • Ink:  PTI Blueberry Sky; Memento Summer Sky, Pear Tart; Versafine Smokey Grey

Here are a couple more calendar designs.  (See my November 19th post for more details of how these are made)

Easel #3 has an Aqua Mist cardstock base and the coaster is covered with a pretty multi-colored, diamond pattern paper.  The top and bottom is cut in white cardstock using Card Edgers #1.  The calendar is layered on Aqua Mist and placed on foam tape.  I added the butterflies at the bottom with pearl centers and tied Seaweed twine around the top, threaded with a button.

Easel Calendar #3

For Calendar #4, I covered the coaster in a soft pink, flowered pattern paper, all placed on a base of Lavender Moon cardstock.  The top and bottom were cut with Card Edgers #4, and butterflies at the bottom.  The pink button is threaded with Ice Cream twine.

It's A Girl!

I like using pattern paper that says something on it...

I used white cardstock for the card base, rounding the right hand corners.  I added a layer of this cute baby girl pattern paper.  I die-cut the carriage in white cardstock and stamped "it's a girl" on it.  I added metal dots to the wheels and a few hearts in pink paper.  The carriage is on foam tape for dimension.

I stamped the sentiment on the bottom and tied pink ribbon around the spine.

Thank You (CAS #42)

I needed to make a quick thank you card....

I used white cardstock for the card base, cutting the bottom with Card Edgers #3.  I stamped the flowers in red ink with yellow centers, adding leaves in green and little flowers in the same yellow.

The thank you was stamped in black ink.  Since this was so easy to make, I made several in different colors to have on hand just in case I need them!

With Sympathy

All of the sudden I seem to need too many sympathy cards.

I used Plum Pudding cardstock for the card base and added a layer of purple striped paper, rounding the bottom corners.

I stamped the flowers on white cardstock and colored them with Copics.  I die-cut the image and another piece of purple cardstock with Deckled nestabilities and placed it on foam tape.

I stamped the sentiment at the bottom in black ink, tied purple organza ribbon around the card in a bow and added a little bit of glitter to the flowers.

Card Details:
  • Stamps:  PTI Year of Flowers Collection, Botanical Silhouettes

Easel Calendar 1 & 2

In addition to the card calendars I made, I also made this style, which is the same set-up as an easel card.  I made several different designs and will post them over the next few weeks.

Easel #1 uses Plum Pudding cardstock for the base.  I used a thick coaster for the calendar base and covered both sides in pattern paper.  I used white cardstock, cut with Card Edgers #3 at the top and the bottom of the card, placing another piece of pattern paper on the bottom die-cut.  I placed foam tape under this to slightly lift it up so the easel leans again it to stand up.

The calender is layered with Plum Pudding and placed on foam tape for dimension.  For embellishments, I tied Orchid twine around the top, threaded with a coordinating button. For the bottom, I punched out butterflies, adding pearls to the centers.

Easel Calendar #1

This is what the side of the calendar looks like:

For Easel #2, I used Sweet Blush cardstock for the base and covered the coaster with a soft pink pattern paper.  The white at the top and the bottom was die-cut with Card Edgers #1.

The calendar is layered on Sweet Blush and on foam tape.  I tied Blossom Twine around the top and die-cut the butterflies in coordinating paper.

Peace On Earth

It won't be long now and it'll be Christmas...the time is going by so fast.  I've been busy working on quite a few holiday items and wanted to use my Memory Box Country Landscape die, one I bought last year and didn't use yet.

I used Blueberry Sky cardstock for the card base and added a layer of white cardstock.  I die-cut the landscape in Soft Stone cardstock, placed it on white, adding Blueberry Sky polka dot paper for the night sky.  To me, this paper makes the scene look like it's snowing.  I added the star, die-cut in silver mirror paper.

I stamped the sentiment and die-cut it in a circle, layering it on another circle, placed on foam tape.  I tied silver cording around the card to match the silver star.

Card Details:
  • Stamps:  PTI Believe
  • Paper:  PTI Blueberry Sky, Soft Stone, Blueberry Sky Polka Dot, White Stampers Select; Silver Mirror
  • Ink:  PTI Blueberry Sky
  • Tools:  Memory Box Country Landscape Die, Star Of Wonder Die; Standard Circle Nestabilities

Wish Big - it's your special Day

Every once in a while a new tool comes out that sounds too good to be true....that's the way I originally felt about We R Memory Keepers new Envelope Punch Board.  Was I wrong!  The board can make 66 different sizes of envelopes which is great, BUT it can do so much more!  There are so many projects that can be done with it such as cards, boxes and favors!  As more and more people buy this tool and start using it, more ideas will be coming!

I decided to make a "folder" card using the envelope board.  It was really easy to make, and a little different than just the normal card.  There are lots of videos on Pinterest or YouTube to see how to make this type of card.

I used Vintage Cream cardstock for the card base, covering the front with a floral pattern paper.  I put a 2-1/2" strip of coordinating pattern paper in the inside of the card.  Next, I placed the card on the EPB and punched the very left edge of the card, and then again at 3".  I repeated the same steps for the inside of the card.  Using my paper cutter, I trimmed the paper next to the right of the 3" punch mark so it would create a tab.  Again, I repeated this step for the inside of the card.

I added a strip of blue pattern paper down the center of the card.  I die-cut two circles, stamping the sentiment in matching blue ink.  I placed the circles on foam tape for dimension and wrapped coordinating Ocean twine around the card.

This is the outside of the card when closed (ignore the mini clothespin, that's just to hold the card together!)  You can see how the top of the card looks like a file folder.

And the inside:
Card Details:
  • Stamps:  PTI 2012 Birthday Tags, Stylish Sentiments: Birthday
  • Paper:  PTI Vintage Cream; Stampin' Up; Bazzill
  • Ink:  Memento Teal Zeal
  • Tools:  Envelope Punch Board; PTI Limitless Layers: Circles Dies
  • Other:  Twine; Foam Tape

Thinking Of You

I have to say, I was going to buy PTI's Chevron Cover Plate a few months ago and forgot to put it in my cart.  Two months later, they came out with this beauty - Center Stage Cover Plate - and I like this one so much better!  I guess the Chevron didn't go in my cart for a reason!

I used Rustic Cream cardstock for the card base and cut Center Stage in Scarlet Jewel cardstock.  Isn't this a fabulous design?  I adhered it to the card base using scor-tape.

The image the sentiment is on was die-cut in Vintage Cream using the Boutique Borders: Thinking Of You die.  The sentiment is stamped in Scarlet Jewel ink and the image is on foam tape for dimension.

  • Stamps:  PTI Boutique Borders: Thinking Of You
  • Paper:  PTI Rustic Cream, Scarlet Jewel, Vintage Cream

Beach Birthday

I really haven't used this set much, but when I have to make a card for someone who loves the beach, it certainly comes in handy.

I used Kraft cardstock for the card base and edged around it with white ink.  I added a layer of yellow polka dot paper and a layer of Spring Rain cardstock.  I created the sand dune using my In The Meadow dies...this die really comes in handy to use for things other than just snow!  I placed glitter at the top of the sand and stamped the sentiment on it, adding Jennifer's name.

I stamped the two umbrellas and cut them out, placing the pink one on foam tape and anchoring them in the sand.  I added the little flip flops that were stamped and cut out.  I die-cut the clouds and sun, adhering the sun on foam tape for dimension.  Since Jennifer was turning 30, I added the 30 on the sun.

The sand looked a little too plain so I added the two embossed starfish - I stamped the image on Spring Moss cardstock and embossed them with white embossing powder.  Each one was placed on a little foam tape with a gem added to the center.  My last step was tying the bright, pink ribbon around the spine.

Card Details:
  • Stamps:  PTI A Day At The Beach, Enjoy The Ride
  • Paper:  PTI Kraft, Spring Rain, Hibiscus Burst, Raspberry Fizz, Harvest Gold, White Stampers Select; Amuse Polka Dot

Birthday Wishes (Scraps)

I'm not sure what I had all of these leftover strips of blue from, but they helped to make a quick card!

I started using white cardstock for the card base and added the 1/2" dark blue strips, placing them 1/4" apart.

The piece that the sentiment is stamped on, that was leftover from something I made before with Fabulous Frames.  The striped paper frame goes really well with the dark blue!  I stamped the sentiment in blue ink and placed the image on foam tape.

You know I'm all about stars.....and die-cut the stars in Blueberry Sky cardstock from scraps.

Card Details:
  • Stamps:  PTI 2012 Birthday Tags
  • Paper:  PTI White Stampers Select, Blueberry Sky, Enchanted Evening, Blueberry Sky Striped
  • Ink:  Memento Danube Blue
  • Tools:  PTI Fabulous Frames Die; Lil' Inker Stitched Stars

A Warm Cup Of Tea

Here's another card using Elizabeth Crafts - I never get tired of using this technique.  I really like how much sparkle it provides.

I started off with a white cardstock card base and added a layer of Aqua Mist cardstock, embossed with circles.  I placed a store bought doily on top.

Next I created the teapot by peeling an Elizabeth Crafts teapot sticker and placing it on double-sided adhesive paper.  When peeled, it resembles a stained glass without the color.  The stained glass gets filled with a special micro-fine glitter, rubbed into the adhesive until it's nice and smooth.  Once done, I colored the teapot with Copics.

I stamped the sentiment on white cardstock, cut it in a rectangle and placed it on foam tape.  I tied a light pink ribbon around the card to finish it.

Card Details:
  • Stamps:  PTI Tea For Two
  • Paper:  PTI White Stampers Select, Aqua Mist
  • Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black
  • Copics:  BG10, RV32, RV34, Y32
  • Tools: Darice Swirl Embossing Folder
  • Other:  Elizabeth Crafts Tea Pot, Micro Fine Glitter; Doily; Ribbon; Foam Tape
  • Card Size:  4.25" x 5.5"

2014 Card Calendar (3 & 4)

Here are the other two card calendar designs I made.

For calendar #3, I used Raspberry Fizz pattern pattern paper at the top, cut with Card Edgers #4.  I stamped the flowers at the bottom using Natural Beauties - they are stamped in rosebud ink only, but the stamp gives the illusion of more than one color.  I gave the flowers a yellow center with light green leaves.

The calendar is layered on True Black cardstock and placed on foam tape for dimension.  I tied Charcoal twine around the top, threaded with a yellow button.  To add a little bling, each flower center has a gem.

Card Calendar #3:

Calendar #4 is my favorite one because I love this stamp set and the colors I picked! I used a blue/orange pattern paper at the top, again cut with Card Edgers #4.  I used Mum's The Word flowers, stamped twice in two different color blues. I also added some loose petals in blue and light orange to make them appear to be blowing in the wind.  The leaves are stamped in a medium color green ink.

The calendar is layered on Bazzill blue cardstock and placed on foam tape for dimension.  I tied blue twine around the top, threaded with an Orange Zest button.

Happy 60th Birthday!

Seems like I've been making a lot of 60th birthday cards recently.  And yes, I'm using my Fabulous Frames die again simply because it's perfect when you want to make something the center of the card.

I used Spring Moss cardstock for the card base and rounded the corners.  I took a piece of white cardstock and stamped confetti circles all over it in blue, pink, yellow and green inks.  Next, I die-cut the frame in Spring Moss large polka dot paper and backed the frame with yellow polka dot paper.

I die-cut the "60" in Aqua Mist cardstock and layered it with white.  I placed the zero on foam tape for a little dimension.  I die-cut the "th" in pink polka dot paper and placed it on an angle on top of the 60.  Isn't the "th" a nice addition to the number?  In Lemon Tart cardstock, I die-cut the two banners for the sentiments and, of course, placed them on foam tape too!  I knew the person was taking this card to a party which meant I could put lots of dimension on the card!!

I die-cut the balloons and stamped them in coordinating inks, using assorted colors of twine for the balloon strings.  A few of the balloons are on foam tape as well.  To add a little sparkle, I placed sequins on the balloons and banner.

Card Details:
  • Stamps:  PTI Birthday Style, Big Birthday Wishes
  • Paper:  PTI Spring Moss, Aqua Mist, White Stampers Select, Lemon Tart, Spring Moss Pattern, Bitty Dots
  • Ink:  PTI Lemon Tart, Hibiscus Burst; Memento Pear Tart, Tuxedo Black; VersaMagic Aquatic Splash

Sending Sincere Thanks (CAS #41)

This was a quick card to make and would make a nice thank for a man or from a man.

I used Kraft cardstock for the card base and added a layer of woodgrain pattern paper, rounding the right hand corners.

Using Boutique Borders:  Thanks, I made one die-cut in Vintage Cream cardstock and one in Dark Chocolate cardstock.  I cut the Chocolate die-cut in half and placed it behind the cream cardstock to give it a layered look.

I stamped the image and sentiment and placed it on foam tape.  My last step was tying Brown twine around the spine.

Card Details:
  • Stamps:  PTI Boutique Borders:  Thanks
  • Paper:  PTI Kraft, Vintage Cream; Amuse Woodgrain
  • Ink:  Brilliance Pearlescent Chocolate
  • Tools:  PTI Boutique Borders:  Thanks Die; Corner Rounder
  • Other:  Twine; Foam Tape

Smile - It's Your Day

I'm really getting to like using colors other than green for leaves....this time I'm using grey!

I used Aqua Mist cardstock for the card base.  On white, I stamped the flowers in a coordinating blue ink and used grey for the leaves.  I stamped the flower centers with black ink.  The tops of the flowers have glitter on them.

I die-cut the banner and stamped "Smile" on it in a darker grey ink.  On another die-cut, I stamped "it's your day" and placed it on foam tape.  I really like this color combination!

Card Details:
  • Stamps:  PTI Reasons To Smile, It's A Celebration
  • Paper:  PTI Aqua Mist, White Stampers Select
  • Ink:  VersaMagic Aquatic Splash; PTI Soft Stone; Amuse Seattle; Memento Tuxedo Black

2014 Card Calendar (1 & 2)

A few years ago I saw these desk calendars on Lisa Johnson's blog and thought they were really cute.  I think they make a nice little something to include with a gift, gift card, stocking stuffer, etc.  They're the same size as an A2 card (4.25" x 5.5") and can be folded for mailing.  So far they've been very popular and this may become an annual tradition for me to make them every year!

For calendar #1, I used beige pattern paper at the top, cut with Card Edgers #3.  I stamped the flowers at the bottom, using beige ink for the leaves to match the pattern paper at the top.  The flowers are stamped in a wine color ink with dark brown centers.  I added glitter to the flowers for a little sparkle.

The calendar is layered on Scarlet Jewel cardstock and placed on foam tape for dimension.  I tied Flax twine around the top, threaded with a coordinating button.

Card Calendar #1:

I included a "stand" to help prevent the calendar from falling over.  You can see from this side view picture how the calendar can easily be folded flat.

For calendar #2, I used an orange pattern paper at the top, using Card Edgers #1.  The flowers are stamped using Rosie Posie and Rosie Posie Step 2 for additional flower details.  I did put a little glitter on the top of the flowers.

The calendar is layered on Spring Moss cardstock (to match the stamped leaves) and placed on foam tape for dimension.  I tied Honeydew twine around the top, threaded with an Orange Zest button.

A Basket Of Birthday Wishes

I saw this card on Nichole's blog, using this stamp set and color combination.  I thought it was so pretty that wanted to make one similar to her's.  Of course I did change mine up a bit!

I used Rustic White cardstock for the card base and added a layer of Ocean Tides cardstock, impressed with my Twist Cover Plate.  I really like the look using this die as an impression plate!

I stamped the image on Rustic White cardstock and colored it with Copics.  The image is die-cut using Labels Twenty Two nestabilities and placed on foam tape for dimension.

I die-cut the banner in Aqua Mist cardstock, stamped the sentiment and placed the banner on an angle.  I added a little bit of glitter to the flowers for a touch of sparkle.

Boy Christening

I made a card similar to this for a girl and here's the boy version.

I used Spring Rain cardstock for the card base and added a layer of white, embossed with my Window Pane embossing folder.  I rounded the right hand corners on each of them.

Three crosses were cut with Crosses Two nestabilities and layered on top of each other.  The second cross is on foam tape to add dimension to the card.  I added the pearls to the card using White Pearl Pen.

I made the sentiment on the computer, cut it with a rectangle nestability and adhered it to the card on foam tape.  I tied white ribbon around the spine to complete the card.

Card Details:
  • Paper:  PTI Spring Rain, White Stampers Select
  • Tools:  Crosses Two Nestabilities, Long Rectangles Nestabilities; Corner Rounder
  • Other:  Cuttlebug Window Pane Embossing Folder; Ribbon; Foam Tape; Pearl Pen
  • Card Size:  4.25" x 5.5"

Birthday Wishes

Here's WPlus9's Milk & Cookies stamp set again - this is such a fun set to use!

I used Pure Poppy cardstock for the card base and added a layer of red pinstriped paper (a new paper from Amuse that comes in assorted colors).  I die-cut Lemon Tart cardstock at the top of the card using Card Edgers #1 (again) and die-cut the banner in the same pinstripe paper, stamping the sentiment on it.

Using my stitched rectangles, I die-cut a rectangle in white and stamped two bottles on it.  I stamped the insides of the bottle with yellow ink because I wanted them to be lemonade bottles.  I added the straws in red ink.

On another piece of white paper, I stamped another bottle and straw, the banner on the straw, leaves and orange slices, colored with Copics.  I fussy cut them and adhered them to the card, placing the middle bottle and straw banner on foam tape for just a touch of dimension.

I wanted to add Bonnie's name and did so using my Block Alpha dies.  I tied Maraschino twine around the card and placed the entire image on top with more foam tape.  I added a gem to the leaves at the top and glitter to the inside of the bottles.

Card Details:
  • Stamps:  WPlus9 Milk & Cookies, Fresh Florals; PTI Wishes Come True
  • Paper:  PTI Pure Poppy, Lemon Tart, White Stampers Select; Amuse Pinstripes
  • Ink:  Memento Bamboo Leaves, Love Letter, Northern Pine, Tuxedo Black; VersaMagic Thatched Straw

Get Well Soon

Remember a while back (August 24) I posted a card using spray alcohol?  Well, I had some of the mixture left over and didn't want to throw it away and made this card with it.  I just didn't post the card until now.

I used Soft Stone cardstock for the card base.  Again, I used a Quatrefoil Cover Plate die-cut to create the  background by spraying the mist (rubbing alcohol and pink ink refill) over the die-cut frame to get this lattice look.  After it was completely dry, I attached it to the card base.

The flower is four layers of die-cuts:  #1 - Soft Stone cardstock stamped with light grey ink for the veins, #2 Linen Vellum, #3 white cardstock stamped with pink ink and on foam tape for dimension and #4 Scarlet Jewel cardstock.

I cut a strip of grey cardstock and stamped the sentiment on it.  I tied Stone twine around the spine and added a pink gem to the flower center (I guess that makes it 5 layers?).  Pink and grey - such a beautiful color combination!

Card Details:
  • Stamps:  Communique Curves Sentiments, Lovely Layers
  • Paper:  PTI Soft Stone, White Stampers Select, Linen Vellum, Scarlet Jewel
  • Ink:  PTI Soft Stone; Brilliance Pearlescent Orchid; Stampin' Up Pretty In Pink Dye Refill
  • Tools:  PTI Lovely Layers Dies, PTI Quatrefoil Cover Plate Die
  • Other:  Rubbing Alcohol; Foam Tape; Twine, Gem
  • Card Size:  4.25" x 5.5"

Happy Birthday

It's finally the end of Daylight Savings Time!  Did you enjoy that extra hour of sleep?  It seems like it's later and later every year, but I really wish they would stop doing it all together!

I used Plum Pudding cardstock for the card base.  On white cardstock, I stamped the flowers in two colors of purple inks, adding a light orange center.  The leaves are stamped in two different shades of green ink and the little clusters of circles in a light blue ink.  The sentiment was stamped right across the image in black ink.

After looking at the card, I thought I needed to do "something" to it and decided to use one of my Card Edgers dies on the bottom.  I think it added just that little "something" the card needed.  And, believe it or not, no foam tape or glitter on this card! *faint*

Card Details:
  • Stamps:  PTI Happiness In Bloom, Harvest Berries
  • Paper:  PTI Plum Pudding, White Stampers Select
  • Ink:  Memento Lulu Lavender, Pear Tart, Summer Sky, Cantaloupe, Tuxedo Black; VersaMagic Tea Leaves, Purple Hydrangea
  • Tools:  PTI Card Edgers #1
  • Card Size:  4.25" x 5.5"

Halloween Goodie Bags

Here's one more Halloween item I forgot I had to post.  These are treat bags my parents gave to a few of the little ones on their street.  How lucky are those kids?

I had clear bags, about the size of a brown lunch bag that had Halloween decorations, bats, pumpkins, etc. on them.  I filled them about half way with assorted candies.

The tag is cut using PTI's Tag Sale #5, cut on striped pattern paper.  The paper is double-sided so the back of the tag isn't just plain white.  I die-cut the witch and adhered it on foam tape.  I grabbed an orange button and threaded it with Halloween twine, placing it in the middle of the witch.  I stamped the sentiment from PTI's new Trick or Treat stamps - how perfect for this bag of goodies!

My last step was attaching the tag - I didn't want to use ribbon and remembered I had orange and black fun fur and used both.  I think it really adds a nice touch!

Project Details:
  • Stamps:  PTI Trick or Treat
  • Paper:  PTI True Black; Heidi Grace
  • Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black
  • Tools:  PTI Tag Sale #5, Spooky Sweets Die
  • Other:  Clear Bags; Button; Twine; Fun Fur; Foam Tape
  • Tag Size:  2.0" x 3.75"

Praying For You

Happy November!  Geez, the year is almost over now.

I really like this stamp set because the flowers are so detailed.  I like that they can also be stamped several times to give them a fuller look.

I used Enchanted Evening cardstock for the card base.  On white cardstock, I stamped the flowers in two colors of blue ink and the stems in a soft, light green ink.  The sentiment was added in the darker blue ink.

I used an inverted corner rounder, instead of my usual corner rounder to give the card a different look.  I sprinkled coarse glitter on the flowers and tied Enchanted Evening twine around the spine, placing the bow toward the bottom of the card.

Card Details:
  • Stamps:  PTI Mum's The Word
  • Paper:  PTI Enchanted Evening, White Stampers Select
  • Ink:  Memento Danube Blue, Summer Sky; VersaMagic Tea Leaves
  • Tools:  Inverted Corner Rounder
  • Other:  Twine; Glitter
  • Card Size:  4.25" x 5.5"
