Walking In A Winter Wonderland

This is my last Christmas item to post!  I made this for my friends who have a house in the mountains and when I think of deer, I think of them.  I used Spring Rain for the card base and stamped it with snowflakes, adding a dab of Stickles to some of the centers.  The tree is made with Spring Moss cardstock and I ran it through the woodgrain impression plate.  I made the snow by tearing white paper, then added glitter to the edges.  The deer and birds were diecut; the deer are backed with coasters and mounted on foam tape.  I added the sentiment (on foam tape), dew drops and twine.

Card Details:
  • Stamps:  PTI In The Meadow
  • Paper:  PTI Spring Rain, Spring Moss, Pure Poppy; Bazzill
  • Tools:  PTI In The Meadow Silhouettes Dies, Woodgrain Impression Plate; Tag Trio Nestabilities
  • Other:  Twine, Dew Drops, Martha Stewart Glitter, Stickles, PTI Coasters
  • Card Size:  5.25" x 5.25"

Christmas Doodad

This is the doodad I made for Christmas using Hershey nuggets; I made 6 different kinds.  I wrapped the nuggets with patterned paper instead of stamping address labels (like I've done in the past), which really gives you a much wider selection to choose from.  The nuggets were placed in cellophane pretzel bags with a cardstock backing and tied with ribbon.  I added the tags with twine and a couple of jingle bells.

Project Details:
  • Stamps:  PTI Tiny Treats: Christmas
  • Paper:  PTI Kraft, Autumn Rose, Pinefeather, Enchanted Evening, Pure Poppy, Avocado
  • Tools:  Standard & Scalloped Circle Nestabilities
  • Other:  Ribbon, Copics, Bells, Hershey Nuggets, Pretzel Bags
  • Size:  2.0" x 8.5" (includes bag)

Seasons Greetings

I made this card for my parents' mail carrier; I always try to make her something "postage" related. I used white for the card base and layered it with green and the postage pattern paper.  I cut the tag from Tag Sale 5, made the hill of snow from ripping white paper and stamped the snowflakes. The sledder (you can see I used this die a lot too!) was made with a diecut and backed with coaster for support.  I added gold Stickles to the snowflake centers and glitter along the edge of the snow and the bottom of the sled.  Next steps were adding the pompom, ribbon, bells and twine.  The tag is mounted on foam tape.  To bring all the gold on the card together, I put Anita's stickers on the corners.

Card Details:
  • Stamps:  PTI Signature Christmas, Shape Up Snowman Accessories
  • Paper:  PTI Scarlet Jewel, Bazzill, DCWV
  • Tools:  PTI Tag Sale 5, In The Meadow Silhouettes Die
  • Other:  Anita's Stickers, Bells, Ribbon, Twine, Pompom, Stickles, Martha Stewart Glitter, PTI Coaster
  • Card Size:  5.5" x 5.5"

Cocoa Snowman

I made this for a friend of mine who's a cocoa drinker.  I used a tea tin purchased from PTI and wrapped blue pattern paper around the bottom and on the lid.  I diecut the snowman, stamped the face, coloring the nose and cheeks.  I stamped the cocoa cup, colored it, cut it out and adhered to to the snowman's body with foam tape.  I bent the arms to make it look like the snowman is holding the cup (an idea I got from Nichole's blog) and stamped "hot cocoa mix" (who knew I had this stamp? lol) on the bottom.  I added the twine and typed up the directions on the computer and put them on the back of the can.  The can is filled with a bag of Starbucks cocoa mix - I also included a mug, ceramic spoon, mini marshmallows and cinnamon sticks.  A cute gift to make and to give.

Project Details:
  • Stamps:  PTI Shape Up Snowman Accessories, Everyday Treats, Tremendous Treats: Christmas
  • Paper:  DCWV
  • Tools:  PTI Shape Up Snowman Die
  • Other:  Tea Tin, Copics, Chalk, Twine

Snowflakes Sparkle...

I think one of the best PTI purchases I made this year was the In The Meadow stamp set and matching dies.  What a wonderful set with so many options!  This is the Christmas card I made for my parents.  I used Spring Rain for the card base and stamped it with snowflakes, adding silver Stickles to each one.  I made the drifts of snow by ripping paper and outlined them with glitter.  I diecut the trees, ran them through the Cuttlebug using PTI's Woodgrain Impression Plate and sprayed them with pearl Glimmer Mist.  The sledder is diecut twice, once with Blueberry Sky cardstock and once with coaster for support.  I added the pompom to the hat, dew drops to the sentiment and a bit of twine.

Card Details:
  • Stamps:  PTI In The Meadow, Shape Up Snowman Accessories
  • Paper:  PTI Spring Rain, Spring Moss, Blueberry Sky
  • Tools:  PTI Woodgrain Impression Plate, In The Meadow Silhouettes Die Collection, Tag Trio Nestabilities
  • Other:  PTI Coaster, Twine, Stickles, Martha Stewart Glitter, Pompom, Dew Drops

Merry Christmas!

This is the Christmas card I sent out to family and friends.  I used kraft for the card base and rounded the bottom corners.  Instead of using just one background paper, I picked out a striped and dotted patterned paper and adhered them to the kraft.  I diecut a Postage nestability in Vintage Cream, edging around it in tea dye ink.  I diecut the stockings and stamped them with a brick red ink, added Stickles to the fur and mounted them on foam tape.  I punched the branches and glued them together to create the garland.  I added the sentiment and wrapped a light brown yarn around the bottom.  Merry Christmas!

Card Details:
  • Stamps:  PTI Love Lives Here: Holiday, Year of Flowers:  Poinsettia
  • Paper:  PTI Vintage Cream, DCWV, The Paper Company
  • Tools:  Postage Nestabilities, PTI Love Lives Here: Holiday Die Collection, Corner Rounder, Martha Stewart Branch Punch

Baby's First Christmas

My friend Debbie asked me to make her a card for her first grandchild, Hadley.  I was looking on Splitcoaststamper's Gallery and saw a card with this baby stamp on it - and I just had to have it! I contacted the woman (thank you Linda!) who posted the card and she was kind enough to tell me she bought the stamp from Pink Gem Designs - and I immediately purchased the stamp.  Thank goodness it was a digital stamp, so I was able to get it right away. lol

I used pink for the card base and topped it with a paisley patterned paper.  The stamp is colored with Copics; I added stitching around the stocking (copied from Linda's card), pearl pen to the bow and tinsel glitter to the fur around the stocking and hat.  I also added a little pink chalk to highlight her cheeks.  The image is mounted on foam tape for dimension.  Isn't she adorable?

Hadley was cut from my PTI alphabet dies and mounted on foam tape. I added the two snowflakes in the corners with a pink gem in the middle.  My last step was to add the ribbon and the hat pin, made with silver balls, pearls and crystals.

  • Stamps:  Pink Gem Designs

Happy Hanukkah!

Back in July when the Tranquility Trilogy stamp set was released, Nichole made a beautiful Hanukkah with it, and I knew I was going to make one too!  I used Enchanted Evening for the card base and rounded the corners.  I cut out the triangles and stamped them with a design, overlapped them to form the Star of David,  placing silver balls on each point.  The star was adhered with pop up dots to a piece of white cardstock, with score lines on the top and bottom of the sentiment (which I made on the computer).  I added the silver cording as the final step.

Merry Christmas

I know many non-crafters don't realize the time and many steps that go into making some cards.  This card was really fun to make, but included a lot of steps.  So I thought I'd just list them to show what it took to make just one card.  This is my favorite Christmas card I made this year!

  1. Pick out the paper(s) to use - sometimes this can take a while......
  2. Cut and score the card base (Kraft paper); round corners on bottom
  3. Cut striped pattern paper; round corners; adhere to card base
  4. Cut diecuts:  snowman, hat, hat trim, arms, mittens, holly, merry, snowflakes (14 pieces)
  5. Edge snowman in tea dye ink, stamp face, buttons and Christmas; stamp snowflake on mittens
  6. Color nose with Copic, add pink chalk to cheeks
  7. Edge all Scarlet Jewel and Pinefeather diecuts with white ink
  8. Assemble snowman and adhere to card
  9. Glue tinsel glitter to bottom of snowman
  10. Attach twine to merry and mittens
  11. Adhere snowflakes with glue dots
  12. Adhere crystals to holly
And there you have it.....a simple 12 step card.

Card Details:
  • Stamps:  PTI Snowman Accessories, Wonderful Words: Holiday
  • Paper:  PTI Kraft, Scarlet Jewel, Pinefeather; DCWV
  • Tools:  PTI Shape Up Series: Snowman Die, Wonderful Words: Holiday Die, EK Success Snowflake Punch, Corner Rounder

Happy Birthday To You!

One of my recent favorite purchases from PTI has been Tag Sale 5 - I really used it a lot this month (I'll post Christmas tags I made with it later in the week).  When I saw a card on Melissa Bickford's blog using this tag, I knew I wanted to make a similar card.  I used white for the card base and topped it with solid pink and then a patterned flower pink paper.  I stamped the flower and sentiment on the tag, edged around it with light pink and adhered it to the doily with pop up dots.  I added a gem to the flower center and outlined the flower with glitter.  The last steps were adding the ribbon and twine.  Happy Birthday Sue-z!

Card Details:
  • Stamps:  PTI Flower Fusion #9, Flower Fusion #6
  • Paper:  DCWV
  • Tools:  PTI Tag Sale #5, Corner Rounder
  • Other:  Doily, Ribbon, Glitter, Twine, Gem
  • Card Size:  4.25" x 5.5"

Merry Christmas from Dallas

No, not the city, the dog! lol  Someone asked me to make them a Christmas card from their dog....so she showed me a picture of her dog and it sort of looked like this stamp.  She also wanted his name, Dallas, on the front of the card, along with a gold star.  I used Kraft for the card base and topped it with the red/white polka dot paper.  I stamped the dog on Vintage Cream and put it on a layer of green.  I added the stars, cut with gold foil paper and mounted on coasters; I wanted them to look like they were tumbling down the card.  I cut "Dallas" using my new PTI alphabet die and added the gold cording on the spine.  The card looked a little empty so I added two colors of green branches to make it look more festive.

Card Details:
  • Stamps:  PTI Stylish Sentiments: Holiday, 2008 Holiday Tag Collection; Inkadinkadoo Dogs
  • Paper:  PTI Kraft, Vintage Cream; DCWV
  • Tools:  PTI Alphabet Die, Star Nestabilities, Deckled Rectangles Nestabilities, Martha Stewart Branch Punch

I Didn't Forget Your Birthday

I don't often make belated birthday cards, but this stamp set was too cute to pass up!  I used pink/blue for the card base, topped with a festive polka dot paper.  I stamped the chicks and colored them with Copics.  The sentiment is stamped on a tea label die and edged with pink/blue ink.  I added a little glitter under their feet and wrapped plain twine around the card and tied it in a bow.

  • Paper:  DCWV
  • Tools:  Deckled Rectangle Nestabilities, PTI Tea Label Die
  • Other:  Martha Stewart Glitter, Twine, Copics

1st Birthday

A friend asked me to make a card for a first birthday. I used light green for the card base and topped it with 2 different patterned papers from the Nana's Kids DCWV stack.  The train and the striped paper seemed to coordinate so well together!  I used my new PTI alphabet die to cut out Hudson's name, numbers dies to cut  the "one" and adhered both to the card with pop-up dots.  The blue strip was made using card edgers and I added the stars.  I stamped the sentiment on a die cut and added the twine as the final step.  I thought this turned out really cute!

Card Details:
  • Stamps:  Fillable Frames #1
  • Paper:  Nana's Kids (DCWV)
  • Tools:  PTI Alphabet Dies, Card Edgers #1, By The Numbers Dies, Long Scalloped Nestabilities
  • Other:  Adhesive Stars, Twine, Pop Up Dots

Happy Birthday - 60th

I used Harvest Gold for the card base and all of the other patterned paper is from Stampin' Up.  The sunflower vase is colored with Copics and mounted on nestabilities; the larger shape was backed with coaster for support and raised higher than the card.  This gives the card some added dimension and it's no longer your normal A2 size card.  The two strips with the sentiment were made with edgeabilities; I tied ribbon around the strips and added the sentiment that was made on the computer.  The 60 is from a sizzlet tied with twine, and I added the two gold designs in the upper corners.

Card Details:
  • Stamps:  PTI Autumn Abundance
  • Paper:  PTI Harvest Gold, Stampin' Up
  • Tools:  Classic Scallop Edgeabilities, Labels Twenty Two Nestabilities, Tiny Tags Die, Sizzlet Numbers
  • Other:  Twine, Ribbon, Anita's Stickers, Copics, PTI Coasters

Thank You

Another card where I made my own patterned paper.  I used Berry Sorbet for the card base, rounding the bottom corners.  I stamped the leaves onto white cardstock and added the flowers - stamped in rocket red gold ink, which gives them a bit of an iridescent look of red and gold mixed.  The thank you is stamped and cut out with oval nestabilities; I added a strip of coordinating ribbon to finish the card.

Card Details:
  • Stamps:  PTI Turning A New Leaf, Botanical Silhouettes, Communique Curves
  • Paper:  PTI Berry Sorbet, Stamper's Select White
  • Tools:  Standard & Scalloped Oval Nestabilities, Corner Rounder

Happy Birthday To You!

This card uses a new series from PTI called "cover plates" - this is the Quatrefoil Cover Plate.  I just love this design and expect to get a lot of use from it.  I used Spring Moss for the card base and then topped it with the quatrefoil die also cut in Spring Moss.  I colored the flowers with Copics and added silver micro beads to the centers.  I cut a strip of Sweet Blush and stamped the sentiment.  It's been a long time since I put a bow on a card and I think it looks perfect!

Card Details:
  • Stamps:  PTI In Bloom, Flower Fusion #9
  • Paper:  PTI Spring Moss, Sweet Blush
  • Tools:  PTI Cover Plate: Quatrefoil Die
  • Other:  Copics, Sweet Blush Satin Ribbon, Martha Stewart Micro Beads

Take A Moment To Remember.....

This idea is from a PTI Make It Monday (#35) showing us how to create washi tape.  I have to admit, I never heard of this type of tape until I saw it on Nichole's blog.  The technique uses double sided tape, layered with tissue paper and then stamped with any design/image you choose. For this card I decided to make the card base white and I edged around it with a bit of orange ink.  I used one inch Scor-Tape to create my tape and stamped it with polka dots in yellow, red and orange.  I rounded the corners at the bottom of the card, stamped the sentiment and added the twine.

Card Details:
  • Stamps:  PTI Polka Dot Basics, Harvest Berries
  • Paper:  PTI Stamper's Select White
  • Tools:  Corner Rounder
  • Other:  Twine, Scor-Tape, Tissue Paper
  • Card Size:  4.25" x 5.5"

O Christmas Tree

I don't often make cards without some sort of sentiment on the front but I think this card doesn't need one.  I used Ripe Avocado for the card base and layered it with Stampin' Up paper, cutting the center out with the Tag Sale 5 die.  The tree is in 3 pieces, backed by coaster for support.  I added gold Stickles to each layer and the star.  I wanted to bring out the gold on the card so wrapped the spine with thin, gold cording.  I didn't want that center cut out to go to waste and made a matching gift tag!

Card Details:
  • Paper:  PTI Ripe Avocado, Scarlet Jewel; Stampin' Up
  • Tools:  PTI Love Lives Here: Holiday Die Collection, Tag Sale 5
  • Other:  PTI Coasters, Stickles, Gold Cording
  • Card Size:  4.25" x 5.5"

I'm using Harvest Berries again and so happy I'm getting so much use out of this stamp set!  I used Orange Zest for the card base and then created my own patterned paper using  leaves, flowers and berries.  I added another strip of orange for the sentiment, the twine, tag (edged in green) and pearl pen on the flower centers.

Thank Heaven For....

This is another PTI stamp set that I'm finally getting around to using.  This card is for my goddaughter who just had a baby girl a couple weeks ago.  And since I was making a girl card I thought - why not make a boy card too!

Girl card:  I used Sweet Blush for the card base and stamped the clothesline, clothespins and clouds onto Vintage Cream paper.  I edged around the Cream paper in pink ink to soften the edges a bit.  I used the Hanging Out dies to cut the little outfits from some pink scrap papers; I also cut  the dies with coasters to reinforce the outfits.  I put them on pop up dots and "hung" them on the line.  The grass was made with a Martha Stewart border punch.  I added the pockets and pearls onto the outfits - don't they look adorable?  Final steps were adding the sentiment and butterflies.

Boy card:  Basically the same as the girl's card.  I used Spring Rain for the card base, bits of blue scrap blue paper for the outfits and edged around the Cream paper with blue to soften the edges.  I used different outfits for the boy - the stamp set has such a nice collection of cute little outfits to choose from!

Card Details:
  • Stamps:  PTI Hanging Out, Up, Up & Away
  • Paper:  PTI Sweet Blush, Spring Rain, Vintage Cream
  • Tools:  PTI Hanging Out Dies, Martha Stewart Grass Border Punch, Martha Stewart Pop Up Butterflies Edge Punch
  • Other:  PTI Coasters, Pearls, Stars, Pop Up Dots

Thanksgiving Tag

I always see cards that have tags on them so thought it was time I make one too (Tim Holtz  would be proud lol).  I used white for the card base and topped it with a layer of light orange and a patterned brown paper.  I stamped the tag with the 3 leaves and edged around it with distress ink.  Next I sprayed the tag with glimmer mist.  I cut the banner, stamped the sentiment on it and placed it on pop up dots over the tag.  My final steps were adding the two jewels and the ribbon at the top of the tag.

Autumn Blessings

It's hard to believe Thanksgiving is this week - the time has gone by so quickly this year.  This card is similar to the one I made for autumn.  I used white for the card base, layered with medium brown and a polka dot pattern paper.  I stamped the wreath on Vintage Cream and added the berries in cantaloupe and tangelo inks.  The flowers are stamped in rhubarb and have pearl pen in the middles.  I added the sentiment and the ribbon to complete the card.

Just A Little Something

This is another card using the Harvest Berries stamp set.  I used Hibiscus Burst for the card base and topped it with a patterned background I created by stamping leaves, flowers and berries, adding Pearl Pen to the centers of the flowers.  The triangles and sentiment are from Tranquility Trilogy; the final step was the tied ribbon.  A nice card to have on hand for any type of gift.

Big Birthday Wishes

This is a perfect card for the "no frills" type of guy.  I used white for the card base and topped it with a chocolate brown/ivory woven pattern paper (I don't know the brand of the paper; I got it from a paper shop that was discontinuing a lot of their paper).  I rounded the right hand corners and added a Dark Chocolate border on the left side made with card edgers.  Then come the layers - all 5 of them - in Vintage Cream and Pure Poppy paper, the last one with the sentiment.  The regular squares are put on with pop dots to add dimension.  The final step was adding just a bit of twine so it wouldn't be too "frilly".  Happy Birthday Joe!

Card Details:
  • Stamps:  PTI Birthday Bash Sentiments
  • Paper:  PTI Dark Chocolate, Pure Poppy, Vintage Cream
  • Tools:  Standard and Scalloped Square Nestabilities, PTI Card Edgers #4, Corner Rounder

Multi Sentiments Birthday

I was looking at all my birthday stamps and wanted to make a multi-sentiments birthday card suitable for female or male.  Female:  I used Lavender Moon and Plum Pudding for the first card, stamping the sentiments randomly on the card.  On the "it's a celebration" stamp, I stamped it once in black and then again in lavender, slightly moving the stamp to give it a shadowed look.  I added the little prisma flowers with Pearl Pen middles.

Male:  the card is made with True Black and Chartreuse and I added Anita's Stickers to the right hand corners.  You can see how I double stamped the "it's a celebration"  much better in this picture.

Card Details:
  • Stamps:  PTI Birthday Bash Sentiments, Masculine Motifs, Simple Little Things, Around & About Sentiments
  • Paper:  PTI Lavender Moon, Pure Poppy, True Black, Chartreuse
  • Other:  Prisma Flowers, Pearl Pen, Anita's Stickers
  • Card Size:  4.25" x 5.5"

Dashing Through The Snow....

I think this has to be one of all time favorite Christmas stamp sets from PaperTrey!  This set just wows me!  Right now I only have the stamp set for this since the die set is out of stock....but my PTI Pal was nice enough to let me borrow it.  I made two different colors and can't decide which one I like better!

Black:  I used Pure Poppy for the card base and topped it with a layer of grey polka dot paper (which looks like it's snowing to me). I die cut the sleigh/horse in True Black and layered it on a coaster die cut to give it a little stability.  I mounted it onto white cardstock and stamped the sentiment. I put the black strip behind the image and added a little glitter to the "sky" and on the bottom of the sleigh and horse hooves to look like snow.  Both the sleigh/horse and white cardstock are on pop up dots to give it a little dimension.

Blue:  Basically the same as the black card except I used Enchanted Evening for the card base and topped it with a layer of snowflake pattern paper.  The white cardstock is mounted on a piece of Blueberry Sky.

Card Details:
  • Stamps:  PTI In The Meadow
  • Paper:  PTI Pure Poppy, True Black, Enchanted Evening, Blueberry Sky; DCWV
  • Tools:  PTI In The Meadow Die Collection, Corner Rounder
  • Other:  PTI Coasters, Martha Stewart Glitter

Thank Heaven For Little Girls!

I really like this teddy bear from Taylored Expressions, it's just so sweet. I used white for the card base and topped it with a brown and pink/blue polka dot paper, partially trimmed with card edgers.  The bear was stamped and colored with Copics and mounted onto a pink, scalloped circle.  I added Pearl Pen pearls on the scallops and a pink ribbon.  The card looked a little too plain and white to me, so I softened the white edges of the card base with pink ink and thought it looked much better.

Card Details:
  • Stamps:  PTI Hanging Out; Taylored Expressions Beary Special
  • Paper:  Stampin' Up, Bazzill
  • Tools:  Standard & Scalloped Circle Nestabilities, PTI Card Edgers #3
  • Other:  Ribbon, Pearl Pen, Copics

Thanks

I bought this cute little picket fence from PTI and couldn't wait to try it out.  I used white for the card base and layered it with a light blue, stamping a few white clouds (hard to see in the picture) on the top part of the paper.  The flowers are stamped on a scalloped, rectangle die cut.  The fence is lightly edged with tea bag ink and placed right on top of the stamped flower images. I put a strip of orange behind the image and cut two oval circles for the stamped sentiment.

Card Details:
  • Stamps:  PTI Flower Fusion #5 and #7, Gracious Vases, Up, Up & Away
  • Paper:  Stampin' Up, Colorbok
  • Tools:  Scalloped Rectangle Nestabilities, Standard Oval Nestabilities, Corner Rounder, PTI Picket Fence Die
  • Other:  Distress Ink, Adhesive Dots

MIM #39: Multi-stamp Background Building

For this week's PaperTrey Make It Monday, Nichole showed us how easy it is to create your own custom background pattern paper using multiple stamps.  I've been doing this off and on for a while now and have to admit, it's a lot of fun, very satisfying and looks great!

I used Autumn Rose for the card base and topped it with a layer of Stamper's Select White. I stamped the mittens, and instead of coloring them with Copics, used rose, green and silver chalk, going out of the lines around the gloves and smudging it a bit. Next I stamped silver snowflakes and added silver Stickles to the mittens and snowflakes.  I stamped the "let it snow" and layered it on a scalloped, green circle.  The card still needed something else, so I added little pink snowflake swirls from Tag-its #8 and a little green and white twine.  My background was completed with 3 different stamps!

Card Details:
  • Stamps:  PTI Tremendous Treats: Holiday, Holiday Treats, Tag-its #8
  • Paper:  PTI Autumn Rose, Stamper's Select White
  • Tools:  Standard & Scalloped Circle Nestabilities
  • Other:  Stickles, Chalk, Twine
  • Card Size:  4.25" x 5.5"

Happy Birthday To You!

I keep seeing cards using music as the background and thought I'd try making one.  I used white for the card base and added a layer of Spring Moss.  Next I stamped the music onto Hibiscus Burst and used a card edger on both ends.  I stamped the stems and sentiment onto an octagon nestability that I partially trimmed down.  I cut the Raspberry Fizz flowers with a die, and using scissors, cut slits in the flowers to form the petals, slightly bending them for dimension.  Final steps were adding the crystal flower centers and butterflies.

Card Details:
  • Stamps:  PTI Flower Fusion #9, Basic Backgrounds: Sheet Music
  • Paper:  PTI Spring Moss, Hibiscus Burst, Raspberry Fizz
  • Tools:  Octagon Nestabilities, Martha Stewart Butterfly Punch, PTI Flower Fusion #9 Die, PTI Card Edgers #1
  • Other:  Crystals, Pearl Pen
  • Card Size:  4.25" x 5.5"

Happy Halloween!

This is the last of the Halloween cards!  I used white for the card base, topped it with a layer of orange, cut the black paper and ran it through the Cuttlebug with a spiderweb embossing folder.  To highlight the embossing a little more, I used a white crayon and rubbed it over the web.  Next I sprayed it with glimmer mist to give it a shiny, glittery look.  I cut diecuts of purple, green and white, and edged around the white diecut with a little orange ink.  I stamped the spider and colored it with Copics, attaching it with a bit of twine for the "web".

Card Details:
  • Stamps:  PTI Tiny Treats: Halloween; Stampin' Up
  • Paper:  DCWV
  • Tools:  Cuttlebug Spiderweb Embossing Folder, Labels Four Nestabilities, Martha Stewart Circle Punch
  • Other:  Copics, Twine, Tuscan Sun Glimmer Mist, White Crayon
  • Card Size:  4.25" x 5.5"

Pumpkins & More Pumpkins!

A few more quick cards I made.

Card #1:  I used orange cardstock for the card base.  The patterned paper is two sided; pumpkins on one side and stripes on the other.  I put the pumpkins at the top and stripes at the bottom, separating them with a strip of scalloped black, adding a bit of Stickles on each scallop.  I stamped the sentiment and added the orange and black ribbons.

Card #2:   Again, used orange cardstock for the card base, topping it with pumpkin pattern paper.  I added the sentiment, colored the pumpkin with Copics, and layered it on an orange pinking circle.  I added a white circle border at the bottom and the ribbon.

Card Details:
  • Stamps:  Studio G $1
  • Paper:  DCWV, Heidi Grace
  • Tools:  Scallop Edgeabilities, Pinking Circle Nestabilities, Standard Circle Nestabilities, Martha Stewart Scallop 3 Dot Border Punch
  • Other:  Stickles, Ribbon, Copics
  • Card Size:  4.25"  x 5.5"
